3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your CROSOFMI Sprinkler Timer:

  1. Battery Installation:

    Open the battery compartment on the back of the timer. Insert two (2) 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment securely. The powerful chip will detect low power supply and shut off the hose timer before the battery dies.

  2. Insert O-Ring:

    Ensure the 3mm O-ring is properly seated inside the top connector of the timer. This is crucial for preventing leaks.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Setting Current Time

  1. Press the 'SETUP / OK' button to enter programming mode.
  2. The 'NOW' (current time) section will blink. Use the ' + ' and ' - ' buttons to adjust the hour and minute.

4.2. Setting Programmed Watering Schedule

After setting the current time, continue pressing 'SETUP / OK' to cycle through the following settings:

4.3. Manual Watering

To initiate watering instantly without affecting your programmed schedule:

  1. Press the 'MANUAL' button. The 'HOW LONG' section will blink.
  2. Use ' + ' and ' - ' to set the desired manual watering duration.
  3. Press 'SETUP / OK' to start manual watering. The faucet icon will appear on the screen.
  4. To stop manual watering, press 'MANUAL' again, then 'SETUP / OK'.

4.4. Rain Delay Function

To temporarily pause your watering schedule due to rain or other reasons:

  1. Hold the 'RAIN DELAY' button for 3 seconds. The cloud icon will blink.
  2. Use ' + ' and ' - ' to set the desired delay duration (e.g., 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours).
  3. Press 'SETUP / OK' to confirm the rain delay. The cloud icon will remain on the screen.
  4. To cancel the rain delay, hold the 'RAIN DELAY' button for 3 seconds again. The cloud icon will disappear.

4.5. Child Lock Mode

To prevent accidental changes to your settings:

  1. Hold the 'RAIN DELAY' button for 3 seconds. The clock icon will blink twice, indicating Child Lock is active.
  2. To exit Child Lock mode, hold the 'RAIN DELAY' button for 3 seconds again. The clock icon will blink twice and disappear.

4.6. Auto Sleep Function

The screen will automatically go to sleep after 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life. To reactivate the screen, simply press any button.

4.7. Turning Off the Timer

To completely turn off the timer and stop all watering schedules:

  1. Hold the 'ESC / OFF' button for 3 seconds. The screen will display 'OFF'.
  2. To turn the timer back on, hold the 'ESC / OFF' button for 3 seconds again.

5. Maintenance
