Setup and Initial Use

Unpacking and First Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the doona for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, do not use the product and contact customer service immediately.

Infant Insert Installation

The doona comes with an ergonomically designed infant insert, developed with medical professionals, to provide a comfortable and natural posture for newborns. This insert should be used for infants from birth until they reach approximately 5 kg or 3 months of age. After this, the insert can be removed.

Car Seat Installation (Rear-Facing Only)

The doona can be installed in a vehicle using either the vehicle's seatbelt or an ISOFIX base (sold separately).

Using the Vehicle Seatbelt:

  1. Place the doona on the vehicle seat in a rear-facing position.
  2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt through the blue belt guides on the doona.
  3. Buckle the seatbelt and pull it tight to remove any slack.
  4. Ensure the doona is securely installed and does not move more than 1 inch in any direction at the belt path.

Using the ISOFIX Base:

  1. Attach the ISOFIX base to your vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points according to the base's instruction manual.
  2. Ensure the indicators on the ISOFIX base show a secure connection.
  3. Place the doona car seat onto the ISOFIX base until it clicks securely into place.
  4. Verify that the car seat is firmly attached to the base.

Operating Modes

The doona is a unique 3-in-1 mobility solution, seamlessly transitioning between a car seat, a stroller, and a reclining cot.

Car Seat Mode

In car seat mode, the wheels are folded underneath the unit, making it compact for vehicle travel. This mode is suitable for cars, taxis, and even approved for use on aircraft seats.
