Setup

1. Attaching the Stand or Wall Mounting

The NIX X08H frame comes with a detachable stand that allows for both portrait and landscape orientation. Ensure the stand is securely attached before placing the frame on a surface.

For wall mounting, slide the stand open to reveal the wall mount holes. The frame can be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation. Refer to the markings on the stand for proper adjustment and wall mounting instructions.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the frame and then plug it into a wall outlet. The frame will power on automatically.

3. Inserting USB Drive or SD Card

Insert a USB flash drive or an SD/SDHC memory card into the corresponding slot on the back of the frame. Ensure the media is inserted correctly. The frame will automatically detect the media and begin playing your photos and videos.

Important Note:

• For optimal performance, use a USB 2.0 drive. USB 3.0 or higher drives may experience compatibility issues.
• The frame supports USB drives and SD cards up to 64GB.
• Ensure your photos are in JPEG format. HEIC files (common on iPhones) are not supported and must be converted to JPEG format before use.

Operation

Using the Remote Control

The magnetic remote control allows you to navigate menus, adjust settings, and control media playback. The remote attaches to the back of the frame for convenient storage.

File Management

To ensure smooth operation and display of your media, adhere to the following guidelines:

• Supported Formats:

• Image Resolution: The frame has a 1280x800 HD (16:10) IPS display. While the frame can scale images, optimizing your photos to this resolution or aspect ratio can improve display quality.
• HEIC Files: If you use an iPhone, photos are often saved as HEIC files. These are not directly supported. Convert HEIC files to JPEG format before transferring them to your USB drive or SD card.
• USB/SD Card Capacity: The frame is designed to work best with USB 2.0 drives and SD cards up to 64GB. Larger or newer generation drives (e.g., USB 3.0) may cause intermittent reading issues.

Troubleshooting

Frame Not Turning On

• Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the frame and a working wall outlet.
• Verify the power outlet is functional.

USB Drive/SD Card Not Recognized

• Confirm the USB drive or SD card is inserted correctly and fully into its slot.
• Check if the media is formatted to a compatible file system (e.g., FAT32, exFAT).
• Ensure the USB drive is USB 2.0 and not exceeding 64GB. Newer USB 3.0 drives or larger capacities may not be fully compatible.
• Try a different USB drive or SD card to rule out media issues.
• Restart the frame by unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter.

Videos Not Playing or Displaying as Still Images

• Verify that the video files are in MPEG-4 format. Other formats are not supported.
• High-resolution videos from modern smartphones may not be compatible due to their encoding or resolution. Try converting videos to a lower resolution MPEG-4 format if issues persist.

Remote Control Not Responding

• Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the frame's sensor.
• Replace the battery in the remote control.

Screen Glitching or Display Issues

• Unplug the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in to perform a soft reset.
