3. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Lazmin Mini WiFi Router.
3.1. Powering On the Router
- Connect the provided USB cable to the Micro USB port on the router.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power adapter (not included), a computer's USB port, or a power bank.
- The router will power on automatically.
3.2. Connecting to the Internet
The router supports two main methods for internet connection:
Method A: Using a 3G/4G USB Dongle
- Ensure your 3G/4G USB dongle is compatible with the router.
- Insert the 3G/4G USB dongle into the USB 2.0 port on the router.
- The router will automatically detect the dongle and establish a 3G/4G connection. No manual configuration for APN is typically required due to the auto-recognition feature.
- Once connected, the router will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal.
Note: A 3G/4G USB dongle is required for 3G/4G functionality and is not included with the router.
Method B: Using an Ethernet Cable (WAN/LAN)
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or existing router's LAN port to the RJ45 port on the Mini WiFi Router.
- The router will automatically detect the connection type (ADSL/DHCP) and configure itself.
- Once connected, the router will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Connecting Devices to Wi-Fi
To connect your devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) to the router's Wi-Fi network:
- On your device, open the Wi-Fi settings.
- Look for a network name (SSID) similar to "3G-wifi-xxxx" (where xxxx are unique characters). This information is typically found on a sticker on the router.
- Select the network and enter the default Wi-Fi password, which is usually "12345678" (refer to the sticker on your router for exact details).
- Your device should now be connected to the internet through the Mini WiFi Router.

4.2. Accessing Router Settings (Web Interface)
To manage advanced settings, such as changing the Wi-Fi name or password, or configuring network options:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network.
- Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
- In the address bar, type the default IP address of the router: 192.168.100.1 and press Enter.
- You will be prompted for a username and password. The default credentials are typically:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
- Once logged in, you can navigate through the settings to customize your router.
Security Tip: It is highly recommended to change the default Wi-Fi password and the router's administrative password after initial setup to enhance network security.
4.3. WPS Functionality
The router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) for easy connection of compatible devices. This is a software-based WPS implementation.
- Access the router's web interface as described in Section 4.2.
- Navigate to the WPS settings section.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate WPS and connect your device.
5. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the router. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Placement: Place the router in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Power Supply: Use only the provided USB cable and a compatible USB power source.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Resetting the Router: If you encounter persistent issues or forget your login credentials, you can perform a factory reset using the reset button. This will revert all settings to their default values.
6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Lazmin Mini WiFi Router, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
6.1. No Internet Connection
- Check Power: Ensure the router is properly powered on and the power indicator light (if any) is active.
- Check Dongle/Ethernet:
- If using a 3G/4G dongle, ensure it is securely inserted and functional independently.
- If using an Ethernet cable, ensure it is connected correctly to a working modem/router and the RJ45 port.
- Restart Devices: Power cycle the Mini WiFi Router, your 3G/4G dongle (if applicable), and your modem/main router.
- Router Settings: Access the router's web interface (192.168.100.1) to check the WAN status and ensure the internet connection is active.
6.2. Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi Network
- Check Wi-Fi Password: Verify that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password (SSID and password are on the router's sticker).
- Signal Strength: Ensure your device is within range of the router.
- Router Status: Confirm the router is powered on and broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal.
- Device Settings: Restart your connecting device (phone, laptop).
6.3. Slow Wi-Fi Speed
- Interference: Move the router away from other electronic devices (cordless phones, microwaves) that might cause interference.
- Number of Users: The router supports up to 20 users. Excessive users or high-bandwidth activities can reduce speed.
- Internet Source: Check the speed of your primary internet connection (3G/4G dongle or Ethernet source).
- Router Placement: Ensure the router is centrally located and not obstructed.
6.4. Forgot Router Admin Password
- Factory Reset: Locate the reset button on the router. With the router powered on, use a paperclip or similar pointed object to press and hold the reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the lights flash. This will restore the router to its factory default settings, including the admin username and password ("admin"/"admin").
