4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your doorbell unit.

4.1 Mounting the Doorbell Plate

  2. Mark Drilling Points: Position the doorbell plate on the desired location. Mark the positions for the four welded dowels on the wall.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points. The size of the drill bit should match the diameter of the dowels.
  4. Insert Dowels: Carefully insert the dowels into the drilled holes. Ensure they are flush with the wall surface.
  5. Attach Doorbell Plate: Align the doorbell plate with the inserted dowels. The plate is fixed by pressing it onto the dowels. The integrated 3mm flexible foam seal on the back ensures optimal sealing against the facade.

  2. Open Badge: Carefully open the transparent cover of each name badge.
  3. Insert Label: Place the prepared name label into the badge.
  4. Close Badge: Close the transparent cover securely.
  5. Insert into Plate: Slide the completed name badge into its designated slot on the doorbell plate.

5. Operating Instructions

The Metzler doorbell is designed for straightforward operation.

  • Ringing: To activate the chime, simply press one of the three push buttons corresponding to the desired residence.
