1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Furmax Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use to ensure proper function and safety.

2. Safety Information

• Maximum Weight Capacity: This chair has a maximum weight capacity of 240 pounds. Do not exceed this limit.
• Stability: Ensure the chair is assembled correctly and used on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping.
• Children: Keep small children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts may pose a choking hazard.
• Maintenance: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary.
• Proper Use: Avoid standing on the chair or using it for purposes other than its intended office use.

4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your Furmax office chair. An assembly video is provided for visual guidance.

1. Attach Swivel Wheels to Wheel Base: Insert the five swivel wheels into the openings at the end of each leg of the wheel base. Push firmly until they click into place.

2. Insert Gas Lift Cylinder: Place the gas lift cylinder into the central hole of the assembled wheel base.
3. Attach Armrests and Backrest: Position the backrest between the two armrests. Secure them loosely with the appropriate screws (refer to hardware pack for screw types) using the provided Allen wrench. Do not tighten the screws completely at this stage.
4. Attach Seat Cushion to Armrests/Backrest: Align the seat cushion with the armrests and backrest. Secure it loosely with the remaining screws.
5. Attach Adjustment Lever Bracket: Secure the adjustment lever bracket to the underside of the seat cushion using the designated screws. Ensure the 'FRONT' indicator on the bracket faces the front of the seat.
6. Secure Seat Assembly to Gas Lift Cylinder: Carefully place the assembled seat (with armrests, backrest, and lever bracket) onto the gas lift cylinder. Press down firmly to ensure a secure connection.
7. Tighten All Screws: Once the entire chair is assembled, go back and tighten all screws securely. Ensure the chair is stable before use.

5. Operating Instructions

Your Furmax office chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort.

• Height Adjustment: To adjust the seat height, pull the lever located on the right side of the seat upwards. While holding the lever, stand up to raise the seat or remain seated to lower it. Release the lever at your desired height.

• Tilt Function: The chair features a rocking function. To enable tilting, pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards. To lock the chair in an upright position, push the lever inwards. The tension of the tilt can be adjusted by twisting the round knob located underneath the seat.

• 360-Degree Swivel: The chair is designed with smooth casters and a 360-degree swivel function, allowing for easy movement and rotation without resistance.
• Lumbar Support: The ergonomic design includes two lumbar supports on the backrest, providing comfortable support to your lower back.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life and appearance of your office chair.

• Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the mesh and fabric surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Casters: Periodically check the casters for any accumulated hair or debris that might hinder smooth rolling. Clean as needed.
• Fasteners: Every few months, inspect all screws and bolts. Tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your chair, refer to the following common solutions:

• Chair is unstable/wobbly: Ensure all assembly screws are tightened. Check that the gas lift cylinder is fully seated in the wheel base and the seat mechanism.
• Difficulty rolling: Inspect casters for debris (hair, lint) and clean if necessary. Ensure the chair is on an appropriate surface (hard floors are ideal, but it should roll on low-pile carpet).
• Chair does not adjust height: Check if the gas lift lever is fully engaged. If the issue persists, the gas lift cylinder may need replacement.
• Squeaking noises: Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to moving parts or joints, especially where metal components meet. Tighten any loose screws.
