4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble your PC system within the Xigmatek Venom X RGB case.

4.1 Removing Side Panels

Carefully unscrew the thumbscrews on the rear of the case to remove the tempered glass side panel and the steel side panel. Place them on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratches.

4.2 Motherboard Installation

  1. Install the necessary motherboard standoffs into the motherboard tray according to your motherboard's form factor (Extended ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX).
  2. Place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the screw holes.
  3. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.

4.3 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

  1. Position the PSU in the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.
  2. Ensure the PSU fan faces downwards (if the case has a bottom vent) or upwards.
  3. Secure the PSU to the case with the provided screws from the rear.

4.4 Storage Drive Installation (HDD/SSD)

The case supports multiple storage drives. Refer to the internal layout for specific drive bay locations.

  • 3.5" HDDs: Install into the drive cages located beneath the PSU shroud.
  • 2.5" SSDs: Mount onto the dedicated SSD trays behind the motherboard tray or within the drive cages.

4.5 Graphics Card and Expansion Card Installation

  1. Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case.
  2. Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the PCIe slots on your motherboard.
  3. Secure the cards with screws.

4.6 Front Panel I/O and RGB Connections

Connect the front panel cables (USB, audio, power, reset, LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Connect the RGB fan cables to the integrated RGB controller or directly to your motherboard's RGB header if supported.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On

After all components are installed and cables are connected, plug the power cable into the PSU and a wall outlet. Press the power button on the front panel to start your system.

5.2 RGB Lighting Control

The Xigmatek Venom X RGB case features integrated RGB lighting. Control methods may vary:

  • Front Panel Button: If available, a dedicated button on the front I/O panel can cycle through various RGB modes and colors.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC components.

6.1 Cleaning Dust Filters

The Xigmatek Venom X RGB case includes removable dust filters to prevent dust buildup. Regularly clean these filters to maintain airflow.

  1. Locate the dust filters (e.g., top, front, bottom).
  2. Gently remove the filters.
  3. Clean them with a soft brush or rinse with water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).
  4. Reattach the filters.
