Setup
1. Battery Installation
The weather station requires batteries for both the display console and the outdoor sensor. Batteries are not included.
- Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor. Insert 2x AA 1.5V batteries, observing polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
- Display Console: Open the battery compartment on the back of the display console. Insert 3x AAA 1.5V batteries, observing polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
Image: Diagram illustrating the outdoor transmitter. Key features include (1) LED Indicator, (2) RF Channel Switch (1, 2, 3), (3) Battery Compartment, and (4) Battery Compartment Cover.
2. Sensor Channel Selection
The outdoor sensor has a switch to select one of three RF channels (1, 2, or 3). Ensure the selected channel matches the channel setting on the display console if you are using multiple sensors or need to re-sync.
3. Synchronization
After installing batteries in both units, place the outdoor sensor and display console within 1 to 3 meters of each other. The display console will automatically search for and connect to the outdoor sensor. This process may take a few minutes. Once connected, the outdoor temperature and humidity will appear on the display.
If synchronization fails, remove batteries from both units, wait 20 minutes, then reinsert them. Place the units close together and allow them to re-sync. If issues persist, try new batteries.
4. Placement
For optimal performance, place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. The transmission range is up to 300 feet (91 meters) in open air. Avoid placing the sensor near large metal objects, electrical appliances, or thick walls that may interfere with the wireless signal.
Image: Examples of outdoor sensor placement, including hanging from a branch, placed in a potted plant, mounted on a wall, and attached to a fence. The sensor supports up to 3 RF channels for placement in different locations (additional sensors sold separately).
The display console can be placed indoors on a desk or mounted on a wall. Ensure it is within range of the outdoor sensor.

It shows various indicators for indoor temperature (1), weather forecast (2), trend arrows (3), outdoor temperature (4), indoor humidity (5), barometric pressure (6), 24-hour pressure history (7), channel indicator (8), daily high/low outdoor temperature (9), and daily high/low indoor temperature (10).
- 1. Indoor Temperature: Displays the current indoor temperature.
- 2. Weather Forecast: Icons indicate predicted weather conditions (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy).
- 3. Trend Arrows: Indicate rising, steady, or falling trends for temperature, humidity, and pressure.
- 4. Outdoor Temperature: Displays the current outdoor temperature from the sensor.
- 5. Indoor Humidity: Displays the current indoor humidity level.
- 6. Barometric Pressure: Shows the current atmospheric pressure in hPa or inHg.
- 7. 24-Hour Pressure History: A bar graph showing pressure changes over the last 24 hours.
- 8. Channel Indicator: Shows the active outdoor sensor channel (1, 2, or 3).
- 9. Daily High/Low Outdoor Temperature: Records the highest and lowest outdoor temperatures for the day.
- 10. Daily High/Low Indoor Temperature: Records the highest and lowest indoor temperatures for the day.
Backlight Function
Press the button located on the top of the display console to activate the backlight for approximately 5 seconds. This improves readability in low-light conditions.

Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the display console and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. It is recommended to replace all batteries simultaneously to ensure proper synchronization.
- Cleaning: Wipe the display console and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Sensor Protection: Ensure the outdoor sensor remains protected from extreme weather conditions, such as heavy rain or direct prolonged sunlight, to extend its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature/humidity reading or sensor stops working. |
|
|
| Outdoor temperature reading is inaccurate (e.g., 3 degrees Fahrenheit low). | Sensor placement is affecting readings. |
|
| Display is blank or unresponsive. | Batteries are depleted or incorrectly installed. |
