4. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to replace your oven light bulb:
- Disconnect Power: Before beginning, ensure the oven is completely turned off and disconnected from its power source. This may involve unplugging the oven or turning off the circuit breaker.
- Allow Cooling: Wait for the oven cavity and the existing bulb to cool down completely to prevent burns.
- Locate Bulb Cover: Open the oven door and locate the light bulb cover, typically a glass or ceramic shield, inside the oven cavity.
- Remove Bulb Cover: Carefully remove the bulb cover. This usually involves unscrewing it counter-clockwise or unlatching it. Refer to your oven's specific manual if you encounter difficulty.
- Remove Old Bulb: Gently unscrew the old light bulb counter-clockwise. If the bulb is broken, use pliers to carefully remove the base.
- Install New Bulb: Using a clean cloth or gloves, screw the new UpStart Components 4173175 light bulb clockwise into the socket until it is snug. Avoid overtightening.
- Replace Bulb Cover: Reattach the bulb cover by screwing it clockwise or latching it back into place.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: If the bulb or its cover becomes dirty, ensure the oven is cool and power is disconnected. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the bulb and socket for any signs of damage or wear. Replace the bulb if it appears cracked or discolored.
7. Troubleshooting
Bulb Does Not Light
- Check Power: Ensure the oven is properly connected to power and the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Check Bulb Seating: Verify that the bulb is screwed in tightly into the socket.
- Inspect Bulb: Remove the bulb and inspect the filament. If it appears broken or discolored, the bulb may be faulty and require replacement.
- Test Socket: If possible, test the socket with a known working bulb to rule out an issue with the oven's wiring or socket itself.
