4.2. Basic Operation

1. Plug the curling iron into a suitable electrical outlet. If traveling internationally, use the appropriate plug adapter.
2. Turn on the curling iron using the power switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the device is heating up.

4.3. Curling Hair

1. Ensure the mode selector is in the curling iron position (barrel closed).
2. Take a section of hair (approximately 1 inch wide).
3. Open the clamp, place the hair section between the barrel and the clamp, and close the clamp.
4. Wrap the hair section around the barrel, away from your face, holding the cool tip with your gloved hand.
5. Hold for a few seconds (adjust time based on hair type and desired curl intensity).
6. Release the clamp and gently slide the iron out of the curl.

4.4. Straightening Hair

1. Slide the mode selector to the straightening position (plates open).
2. Take a section of hair (approximately 1 inch wide).
3. Clamp the plates down on the hair section close to the roots.
4. Smoothly glide the iron down the length of the hair, from roots to ends.
5. Repeat until the desired straightness is achieved.
