Operating Instructions

The Ecostat Comfort mixer features two handles for controlling water flow and temperature.

Water Flow Control:

The left handle controls the water flow. Rotate the handle to increase or decrease the water volume. The maximum flow rate is approximately 17 liters per minute at 3 bar pressure.

Temperature Control:

The right handle controls the water temperature. Rotate the handle to adjust the temperature. For safety, the mixer includes a SafetyStop feature, which typically limits the temperature to 40°C. To exceed this temperature, you must press a button or override mechanism on the handle while rotating it further. This prevents accidental scalding.

The thermostatic function ensures that the water temperature remains constant, even if the pressure in the hot or cold water supply fluctuates.

Care and Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your Hansgrohe Ecostat Comfort mixer, follow these care instructions:

  • Cleaning: Clean the mixer regularly with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent. Avoid using cleaners containing alcohol, hydrochloric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, or phosphoric acid, as these can damage the matte white finish.
  • Rinsing: After cleaning, rinse the mixer thoroughly with clean water to remove any cleaning agent residue.
  • Drying: Dry the mixer with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and limescale buildup.
  • Limescale Removal: For limescale deposits, use a descaling agent specifically designed for bathroom fixtures and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure the product is suitable for matte finishes.
  • Internal Components: Internal components, such as the thermostatic cartridge, may require periodic inspection and cleaning or replacement, especially in areas with hard water. This should be performed by a qualified plumber.
