Maintenance

1. Cleaning:

Clean the scale regularly using a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces. Ensure no liquids enter the display unit or other electronic components.

2. Care for Cast Iron Base:

The heavy-duty cast iron base is designed for durability. To maintain its condition, avoid dropping heavy objects on it and clean any spills promptly to prevent staining or corrosion, although it is resistant to moisture.

3. Calibration:

Regular calibration by authorized service personnel is recommended to ensure continued accuracy, especially in professional medical settings. Refer to local regulations and manufacturer guidelines for calibration intervals.

Troubleshooting

  • Scale does not turn on:
Check if the AC power adapter is securely connected to both the scale and the power outlet. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
  • Inaccurate readings:
Ensure the scale is on a firm, level surface. Verify that nothing is touching the scale platform during measurement. Recalibration may be required if persistent inaccuracies occur.
  • Wi-Fi connectivity issues:
Check the scale's network settings and ensure it is within range of your Wi-Fi network. Verify that your EMR system is properly configured to receive data from the scale. Consult your IT department for network-specific troubleshooting.
  • Display errors:
If the display shows an error code, refer to the detailed product manual for specific error code meanings and troubleshooting steps. Often, turning the scale off and on again can resolve minor display glitches.
