2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The Actik headlamp utilizes the Hybrid Concept, allowing it to be powered by either three AAA/LR03 batteries or a PETZL CORE rechargeable battery (sold separately).
- Open the battery compartment located at the rear of the lamp body.
- Insert three AAA/LR03 batteries, observing the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment. Alternatively, insert a PETZL CORE rechargeable battery.
- Close the battery compartment securely.

2.2 Headband Adjustment
The elastic headband is adjustable to ensure a comfortable and secure fit on your head or helmet.
- Place the headlamp on your head.
- Adjust the strap length using the buckle until the headlamp is snug but not too tight.
- The headband is detachable and washable for hygiene.

3. Operating Instructions
The Actik headlamp features a single button for all functions.

3.1 Power On/Off and White Lighting Modes
- To Turn On: Press the button once. The lamp will turn on in the lowest white light mode.
- To Change Brightness: Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the white light modes (low, medium, high).
- To Turn Off: When the lamp is on, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds.

3.2 Red Lighting Mode
Red lighting is useful for preserving night vision and avoiding dazzling others.
- To Activate Red Light: From the off position, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds until the red light illuminates.
- Red Strobe Mode: While in red light mode, press the button once to switch to red strobe.
- To Return to White Light: From red light mode, press the button once to return to the lowest white light setting.
- To Turn Off: From red light mode, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds.
3.3 Lock Function
The lock function prevents accidental activation during transport or storage.
- To Lock: When the lamp is off, press and hold the button for approximately 4 seconds until the red light flashes three times.
- To Unlock: Press and hold the button for approximately 4 seconds until the red light flashes three times. The lamp will then turn on in the lowest white light mode.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Clean the headlamp body with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- The elastic headband is detachable and can be hand-washed with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.
4.2 Battery Care and Storage
- For prolonged storage, remove the batteries from the headlamp to prevent leakage and damage.
- After use in humid environments, it is recommended to open the battery compartment to allow it to dry, as the compartment is not fully sealed against water ingress.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Light Not Turning On
- Check if the batteries are correctly inserted with the correct polarity.
- Ensure the batteries are not depleted. Replace AAA batteries or recharge the CORE battery.
- Verify that the lock function is not activated. Unlock the headlamp as described in section 3.3.
5.2 Dim Light or Short Burn Time
- This indicates low battery power. Replace AAA batteries or recharge the CORE battery.
- Ensure the battery contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
5.3 Accidental Activation
- Utilize the lock function (section 3.3) when transporting or storing the headlamp to prevent unintended power-on.
