NGOSEW Electric Foot Control Pedal for Sewing Machines

An image showing the NGOSEW electric foot control pedal with its power cable and connector. The pedal is black with a textured surface for foot grip, and the cable extends from the back, terminating in a specific connector designed for compatible sewing machines.

The NGOSEW Electric Foot Control Pedal provides variable speed control for your sewing machine, allowing for precise operation. It connects to your sewing machine via a dedicated power cable and connector.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the foot control pedal from its packaging. Inspect for any visible damage.
  2. Compatibility Check: Before connecting, ensure the connector shape of the foot control matches the receptacle on your sewing machine. Refer to the 'Specifications' section for a list of compatible models.
  3. Connecting the Pedal:
    • Locate the foot control receptacle on your sewing machine. This is typically found on the side or front base of the machine.
    • Align the connector of the foot control cable with the receptacle on the sewing machine.
    • Gently push the connector firmly into the receptacle until it is securely seated. Do not force the connection.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure your sewing machine's power cord is unplugged from the wall outlet before connecting the foot control. Once the foot control is connected to the machine, you may plug the sewing machine's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The foot control pedal allows you to regulate the sewing speed of your machine. Pressing the pedal down increases the speed, while releasing it slows down or stops the machine.

  • Starting: Place your foot on the pedal. Gently press down to begin sewing at a slow speed.
  • Increasing Speed: Apply more pressure to the pedal to increase the sewing speed.
  • Decreasing Speed/Stopping: Ease pressure on the pedal to slow down. Fully release the pedal to stop the machine.

Safety Precautions:

  • Always unplug the sewing machine from the power outlet when not in use, or when changing needles, presser feet, or performing any maintenance.
  • Keep the foot control pedal on a stable, flat surface during operation to prevent accidental movement.
  • Do not operate the foot control with wet hands or feet.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the pedal or cable.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the foot control. Contact qualified personnel for service.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning:

To clean the foot control, first ensure the sewing machine is unplugged from the power outlet. Wipe the surface of the pedal with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

  • Storage:

When not in use, store the foot control pedal in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid coiling the cable too tightly to prevent damage.
