1. Product Overview

The Apple iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display, powered by Apple's A12 Bionic processor. It offers a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7-megapixel front camera. This device is designed for secure operation with advanced Face ID technology and provides a responsive user experience through Haptic Touch. The iPhone XR is constructed with a glass back and an anodized aluminum frame.

2. Setup

2.1. SIM Card Installation

The iPhone XR uses a single Nano-SIM card. Locate the SIM tray on the right side of the device. Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the tray. Insert your Nano-SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned. Gently push the tray back into the device until it is flush. Note: This device is locked to AT&T only and is not compatible with any other carrier.

2.2. Charging the Device

Connect the provided generic (MFi certified) charging cable to the Lightning port at the bottom of the iPhone XR and the other end to the generic (MFi certified) charger. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The device will begin charging. It is recommended to fully charge the device before initial use.

2.3. Initial Power On and Setup

Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side) until the Apple logo appears. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, region, connect to Wi-Fi, and set up Face ID. Face ID allows for secure unlocking and app login with a glance.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Display Features

The 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD display offers a resolution of 1792 by 828 pixels at 326 pixels per inch (PPI). It supports True Tone technology for adaptive white balance and a wide color display (P3). Haptic Touch provides tactile feedback for certain interactions. The display has a maximum brightness of 625 nits, ensuring good visibility in various lighting conditions.

3.2. Processor and Performance

Equipped with the A12 Bionic chip and 3GB of RAM, the iPhone XR delivers smooth and responsive performance for daily tasks, web browsing, social media, and gaming. The optimized iOS operating system ensures efficient multitasking and application handling.

3.3. Button Functions

• Power/Side Button: Located on the right side. Press to wake/sleep the device. Press and hold with a Volume button to power off.
• Volume Buttons: Located on the left side. Use to adjust media and call volume.
• Ring/Silent Switch: Located above the Volume buttons on the left side. Flip to quickly switch between Ring and Silent modes.

4. Camera Features

4.1. Rear Camera

The iPhone XR features a 12-megapixel wide camera with an ƒ/1.8 aperture. It includes optical image stabilization (OIS) for clearer photos and videos, and supports digital zoom up to 5x. Shooting modes include High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Portrait mode. The rear camera can record videos in 4K resolution.

4.2. Front Camera

The front-facing camera is 7-megapixel, suitable for selfies and video calls. It provides good quality for social media and casual photography.

For optimal photo and video quality, ensure good lighting conditions. Performance may vary in low-light environments.

5.1. Physical Care

The iPhone XR features a glass back, which can be susceptible to damage from drops. It is highly recommended to use a protective case and screen protector to safeguard your device from scratches and impacts. Clean the screen and body with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

5.2. Software Updates

The device receives regular software updates from Apple, including operating system enhancements, security patches, and new features. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has sufficient battery life before performing updates. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

5.3. Battery Health

This renewed device has been tested and is guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80% of its original capacity. To optimize battery life, manage background app refresh, reduce screen brightness, and enable Low Power Mode when needed.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Carrier Compatibility

As stated previously, this device is locked to AT&T only. It will not function with SIM cards or services from other wireless carriers. Please ensure your service provider is AT&T for proper functionality.

6.2. General Performance Issues

If you experience slow performance or app crashes, try restarting the device. Press and hold the Power button and either Volume button until the power off slider appears, then drag the slider. To restart, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears. Ensure all apps are updated to their latest versions.

6.3. Cosmetic Condition

This is a renewed product. It has been inspected and is guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arm's length. Any minor imperfections do not affect the device's functionality.
