Setup and Assembly
Assembly requires careful attention to detail. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Verify all components are present against the parts list provided in your product box.
- Assemble Tube Sections: Connect the aluminum tube sections. The design features specific grooves for alignment. Ensure the grooves on each section are correctly aligned for a secure fit.

Figure 3: Correct alignment of the aluminum tube sections. Observe the shape of the grooves on the larger section to ensure proper slotting.
- Attach End Stands: Secure the end stands to the assembled tube. The end stand with the hand crank should be positioned on one side, and the anti-slip leg on the other.
- Install Wheels: Attach the solid tires to the wheeled end stand.
- Adjust Width: Determine the appropriate number of tube sections for your pool's width (3 to 18 feet). For a 14-foot pool, use all 7 tubes with approximately 1.7 feet of overlap. For a 15-foot pool, use all 7 tubes with 1.5 feet of overlap. For pools less than 12 feet, 5 tubes may be sufficient.
- Secure with Screws: Use the provided screws to sturdy the poles. Some screws may not pass through pre-drilled holes but are intended to prevent sagging.
- Attach Cover Straps: Connect the cover straps to the grooved reel tube. The grooved design helps prevent straps from falling off.

- Storage: During off-season or extended periods of non-use, store the reel in a dry, protected area to prevent exposure to harsh weather conditions.
- Strap Replacement: If cover straps show signs of significant wear or damage, replace them promptly to ensure secure attachment of the pool cover.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your pool cover reel.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Reel sags in the middle. | Excessive weight from a wet cover; improper assembly of tube sections. | Ensure tube sections are correctly aligned and secured. If the cover is very heavy, consider rolling it up in sections or ensuring the pool cover is not excessively waterlogged. |
| Screws become loose or fall out. | Vibration during use; insufficient tightening during assembly. | Regularly check and tighten all screws. If screws continue to loosen, consider applying thread locker. Ensure all screws are properly installed during assembly, even those not passing through pre-drilled holes, as they contribute to stability. |
| Cover straps fall off the reel. | Straps not properly secured; reel tube not grooved. | Ensure straps are correctly inserted into the grooved reel tube. Verify that your reel model has the grooved design for strap retention. |
| Difficulty rolling/unrolling cover. | Mechanical lock engaged; debris obstructing movement; uneven cover attachment. | Disengage the mechanical lock. Clear any debris from the reel path. Re-adjust cover straps to ensure even tension. |
