Setup
Follow these steps to set up your KuWFi 4G LTE Mobile WiFi Hotspot:
- Install the Battery: Remove the back cover of the device. Insert the provided 2000mAh Lithium-Ion battery into the battery compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Insert the SIM Card: With the battery removed, locate the standard SIM card slot. Carefully insert your activated standard SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the SIM card is oriented correctly as indicated on the device.
- Replace Back Cover: Securely reattach the back cover.

- Power On: Press and hold the Power Key (usually located on the front or side) for a few seconds until the LED indicators light up.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: On your computer, smartphone, or tablet, search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network name (SSID) displayed on the device's label (often found under the battery or on the back cover). Enter the Wi-Fi password (WIFI KEY) also found on the label.
- Access Web Interface (Optional): Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar. The default login username is typically "admin" and the password is "admin" (or as specified on the device label). From here, you can configure advanced settings such as APN, Wi-Fi name, and password.
- Configure APN Settings: If the device does not connect to the internet automatically, you may need to manually configure the Access Point Name (APN) settings. Refer to your SIM card provider for the correct APN, dial number (e.g., *99#), and country settings.
Operating the Device
Understanding the device's indicators and functions:
- LED Indicators: The device features 4 LED lights that indicate signal strength, Wi-Fi status, SMS notifications, and battery level. Refer to the device's quick start guide for specific light patterns and their meanings.

- WPS Function: The device supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) for easy connection to compatible devices without entering the password manually. Press the WPS key on the side of the router, then activate WPS on your client device within two minutes.

- Sharing Wi-Fi: The hotspot can support up to 10 users sharing the Wi-Fi connection simultaneously.
- Micro-SD Card Slot: The device includes a Micro-SD card slot, supporting cards up to 32GB. Please note that as of current firmware, this slot may not support data sharing or function as a wireless drive.
Maintenance
Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your device:
- Charging: Charge the device using the provided Micro USB cable and a 5V DC, 1A charger. A full charge provides approximately 5-8 hours of working time.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery life, avoid extreme temperatures and do not leave the device fully discharged for extended periods.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, try these solutions:
- No Internet Connection:
- Ensure your SIM card is active and has a data plan.
- Verify that the APN settings are correctly configured in the web interface.
- Check the signal strength LED indicator. If signal is weak, move to an area with better reception.
- Restart the device.
- Device Not Charging / Short Battery Life:
- Ensure the USB cable and charger are functioning correctly and meet the 5V DC, 1A specification.
- The device's battery life is rated for 5-8 hours. If significantly shorter, the battery may need replacement.
- Note that the device may run warm during operation, which is normal.
- Cannot Access Web Interface:
- Ensure your device is connected to the hotspot's Wi-Fi network.
- Confirm you are entering http://192.168.1.1 correctly.
- Try a different web browser.
- Resetting the Device: If issues persist, you can perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (often a small pinhole) and press it with a paperclip for about 5-10 seconds while the device is powered on. This will restore all settings to their factory defaults, including Wi-Fi name and password.
