This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and proper installation and operation of your Mounting Dream MD2296-24K Full Motion TV Wall Mount. This mount is designed to securely hold most 42-84 inch flat or curved screen televisions weighing up to 100 LBS (45.3 kg).
The full motion design allows for optimal viewing angles with tilt, swivel, and extension capabilities. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation.
Safety Information
- WARNING: Do not install this product into drywall alone. It must be mounted into solid concrete walls or wood studs.
- Ensure the wall structure can safely support the combined weight of the mount and your television.
- Always use a stud finder to accurately locate wood studs.
- Two people are recommended for safe installation, especially when lifting the television.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 100 LBS (45.3 kg).

Wall Type Compatibility

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for a secure installation. It is highly recommended to have a second person assist with the installation, especially when lifting the TV.

Installation Steps

- Determine TV Placement: Decide the desired height and horizontal position for your TV. Use painter's tape to outline the TV's position on the wall for visual reference.
- Locate Wall Studs: Use a stud finder to accurately locate the center of the wood studs in your desired mounting area. Mark the stud locations with a pencil. For concrete or brick walls, ensure you have the correct anchors and drill bits.
- Attach TV Brackets to TV: Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface. Attach the vertical TV bracket arms to the back of your TV using the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the provided hardware kit. Ensure the brackets are centered and securely fastened.
- Position and Mark Wall Plate: Hold the wall plate assembly against the wall at your desired height, aligning it with the marked stud centers. Use the provided mounting template if available. Use the included bubble level to ensure the wall plate is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drilling points for the lag bolts.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using a power drill, drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For wood studs, follow the recommended drill bit size in the instructions. For concrete/brick, use a masonry drill bit and ensure the holes are deep enough for the anchors.
- Install Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate assembly to the wall using the lag bolts and washers. Tighten them firmly with a ratchet set, but do not overtighten.
- Test Wall Mount: Before hanging the TV, extend the articulating arms and apply gentle downward pressure to ensure the mount is securely fastened to the wall.
- Hang the TV: With the help of a second person, carefully lift the TV and hook the TV brackets onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV is properly seated and secure.
- Secure TV to Mount: Locate the safety screws or clips on the TV brackets and tighten them to prevent the TV from accidentally lifting off the wall plate.
5. Operating and Adjustments
Your Mounting Dream MD2296-24K mount offers various adjustments to achieve the optimal viewing experience.
Flexible Extension and Retraction

Gently pull the TV away from the wall to extend the articulating arms. Push the TV back towards the wall to retract it. The mount extends up to 16.7 inches and retracts to 2.6 inches from the wall.
Tilt Adjustment

The mount allows for a tilt range of +5° (upward) to -15° (downward). Loosen the tilt adjustment knobs or bolts on the TV brackets, adjust the TV to the desired angle, and then securely tighten the knobs/bolts.
Swivel Adjustment

The articulating arms allow the TV to swivel up to 45° left or right. Gently push or pull the TV to the desired horizontal viewing angle.
Level Adjustment

If the TV is not perfectly level after installation, you can adjust it by ±4°. Loosen the leveling screws on the TV brackets, adjust the TV to be level, and then retighten the screws.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall mount.
- Periodic Inspection: Every few months, check all screws and bolts to ensure they are securely tightened.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lubrication: If the articulating arms become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving joints.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common solutions.
- TV is not level: Use the ±4° level adjustment feature as described in Section 5. Ensure the wall plate was installed level initially.
- Mount feels loose on the wall: Re-check all lag bolts securing the wall plate to the wall. Ensure they are tightened into solid wood studs or concrete with appropriate anchors.
- TV is difficult to move/adjust: Check for any overtightened bolts on the articulating arms or tilt mechanism. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.
- Missing hardware: Refer to Section 2 for package contents. Contact Mounting Dream customer service for replacement parts.
