1. Important Safety Information

2. Product Overview

The NanLite PavoTube 30C is a versatile 4 ft 32W RGBW LED tube light designed for professional photography and videography. It features adjustable color temperature, full RGB spectrum, and various special effects.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your PavoTube 30C for initial use.

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

1. Carefully remove all components from the padded carrying case.
2. Inspect all items for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, contact customer support immediately.
3. Ensure all listed components are present.

3.2 Powering the PavoTube

The PavoTube 30C can be powered by its internal battery or the included AC adapter.

• Internal Battery: The PavoTube has a built-in Li-ion battery. Ensure it is charged before use. A full charge provides up to 2 hours of operation at full brightness.
• AC Power: Connect the included AC adapter to the PavoTube's power input port and then to a standard wall outlet (100-240V, 50/60Hz). The unit will operate and charge simultaneously.

3.3 Mounting

Use the included mounting clips to attach the PavoTube to light stands or other rigging equipment. Ensure the clips are securely fastened to prevent accidental drops.

4. Operating Instructions

The PavoTube 30C offers intuitive controls for various lighting modes.

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located at one end of the tube and features several buttons and a dial:

• MENU: Accesses the main menu and settings.
• CCT: Switches to Correlated Color Temperature mode.
• HSI: Switches to Hue, Saturation, Intensity mode.
• RGB: Switches to RGB mode.
• SPECIAL: Activates special effects modes.
• ENTER: Confirms selections.
• Dial: Adjusts values (brightness, temperature, hue, saturation) depending on the selected mode.

4.2 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the control panel to turn the PavoTube on or off.

4.3 Adjusting Brightness (Dimming)

In any lighting mode, rotate the dial to adjust the brightness output from 0% to 100%.

4.4 Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) Mode

1. Press the CCT button to enter CCT mode.
2. Rotate the dial to adjust the color temperature between 2700K (warm) and 6500K (cool).

4.5 Hue, Saturation, Intensity (HSI) Mode

1. Press the HSI button to enter HSI mode.
2. Use the MENU button to cycle between Hue, Saturation, and Intensity settings.
3. Rotate the dial to adjust the selected parameter.

4.6 RGB Mode

1. Press the RGB button to enter RGB mode.
2. Use the MENU button to cycle between Red, Green, and Blue color channels.
3. Rotate the dial to adjust the intensity of each color channel.

4.7 Special Effects

The PavoTube 30C includes several pre-programmed special effects.

1. Press the SPECIAL button to cycle through available effects (e.g., Cop Car, Storm, Candle, SOS, Continuous Flash).
2. Rotate the dial to adjust parameters specific to each effect, such as speed or intensity.

4.8 Syncing Multiple Units

To synchronize multiple PavoTube units, connect them using the included sync cables. This allows for coordinated adjustments and effects across all connected lights.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your PavoTube 30C.

5.1 Cleaning

• Always power off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the tube.
• For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water; avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Battery Care

• Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
• Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
• Store the unit in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

5.3 Storage

When not in use, store the PavoTube 30C in its padded carrying case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your PavoTube 30C, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

• Unit does not power on:
  • Ensure the battery is charged or the AC adapter is securely connected and receiving power.
  • Check the power button for proper engagement.
• Light output is inconsistent or flickering:
  • Verify power connections are stable.
  • If using battery, ensure it is sufficiently charged.
  • Check for any physical damage to the tube.
• Remote control not working:
  • Ensure the remote has fresh batteries.
  • Check that the remote and PavoTube are within range and paired correctly.
  • Ensure the NANLINK WS-TB-1 Transmitter Box is properly connected and functioning.
• Colors are not accurate:
  • Recalibrate the color settings if available in the menu.
  • Ensure you are in the correct color mode (CCT, HSI, or RGB).
