Setup Instructions
- Unpack the Lanterns: Carefully remove the lanterns from their packaging.
- Locate the ON/OFF Switch: The ON/OFF switch is located under the lantern cover, near the solar panel. Ensure the switch is in the "ON" position for the lantern to charge and light up automatically.
- Initial Charge: Place the solar lanterns in a location where the solar panel receives direct sunlight for approximately 8 hours before first use. This ensures the pre-installed battery is fully charged.

Operating Instructions
- Automatic Operation: Once the ON/OFF switch is set to "ON" and the battery is charged, the lantern will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.
- Sunlight Exposure: For consistent performance, ensure the solar panel receives adequate direct sunlight daily. The duration and brightness of the light are directly influenced by the amount of sunlight received.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
- Weather Resistance: The lanterns have an IP44 waterproof rating, designed to withstand various outdoor weather conditions. However, ensure the lid is screwed tight to prevent water ingress, especially during heavy rain.
- Battery Replacement: The pre-installed NI-MH rechargeable battery has a limited lifespan. If the lantern's performance diminishes significantly, the battery may need replacement. Use a 1 AAA 400mAh NI-MH rechargeable battery.

Troubleshooting
- Lantern does not light up at night:
- Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position.
- Verify the solar panel receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Check for any obstructions blocking sunlight to the solar panel.
- The battery may be depleted or faulty. Consider replacing the battery.
- Light duration is short or dim:
- Insufficient sunlight exposure during the day. Relocate the lantern to a sunnier spot.
- Weather conditions (cloudy days) or seasonal changes can affect charging efficiency.
- Clean the solar panel to ensure maximum light absorption.
- The battery may be nearing the end of its lifespan. Replace if necessary.
