5. Operation

5.1 Using the Chronograph (Stopwatch)

The watch features a chronograph function with three sub-dials:

  • Top Sub-dial: 1/1000 second counter.
  • Left Sub-dial: Minute counter (one circle = one hour).
  • Bottom Sub-dial: Chronograph hand (one circle = one minute).

To operate the chronograph (refer to Image 4.1):

  1. Press Button 1 (Start/Pause) to start the chronograph.
  2. Press Button 1 again to pause the chronograph.
  3. Press Button 3 (Reset) to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

5.2 Luminous Display

The watch hands are coated with a fluorescent material. For them to glow in the dark, expose the watch to a bright light source (natural or artificial) for a sufficient period. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the amount of light absorbed.

5.3 Water Resistance Guidelines

Your LIGE watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM / 99 feet). This means it is suitable for:

  • Daily splashes (e.g., hand washing, rain).
  • Brief immersion in water.

Important Note:

  • Do NOT press any buttons or pull out the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
  • Not suitable for swimming, diving, snorkeling, or hot water activities (e.g., hot showers, saunas), as steam can penetrate the seals.
  • Excessive contact with water will reduce the lifespan of the watch.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Your Watch

Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and hygiene of your watch. It is strongly recommended to clean the watch band and face regularly using the provided microfiber cleaning cloth.

  • Gently wipe the watch case, crystal, and strap with the microfiber cloth to remove dust, fingerprints, and light smudges.
  • For more stubborn dirt on the metal parts, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by drying with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or seals.

6.2 Battery Life

The Japanese quartz movement and battery are designed to provide accurate timekeeping for over 3 years. When the battery runs low, the second hand may start to skip or stop. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and function.

6.3 General Care

  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
  • Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as these can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement.
  • Protect the watch from strong impacts or shocks.
  • If the watch comes into contact with saltwater, rinse it gently with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.
