The SONOFF Smart Light Switch is a 2.4GHz WiFi-enabled touch wall switch designed for convenient control of your home lighting. Setup and Installation

1. Electrical Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock. A neutral wire is essential for the proper functioning of this smart switch.

The switch is designed to fit standard electrical boxes. Refer to the dimensions below to ensure compatibility with your existing setup.

2. App Pairing and Configuration

To enable smart features, pair your SONOFF Smart Light Switch with the eWeLink app. The device supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only.

  1. Download and Install eWeLink App: Scan the QR code or visit http://app.coolkit.cc/dl.html to download the eWeLink Smart Home APP. Install and log in to your account.
  2. Enter Pairing Mode: Long press any configuration button on the switch for about 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED indicator changes in a cycle of two short flashes and one long flash.
  3. Add Device in App:
    • Tap the "+" icon in the eWeLink app.
    • Select "Quick Pairing".
    • Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi password and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • The app will discover and add your Wi-Fi device.

Operating Instructions

1. Manual and Remote Control

The smart switch can be operated directly by touching its glass panel or remotely via the eWeLink App from anywhere with an internet connection.

2. Voice Control

Integrate your smart switch with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for convenient hands-free operation. Simply use voice commands to control your lights.

3. Timer and Schedule Functions

The switch also supports IFTTT (If This Then That) for advanced automation scenarios.

4. Multi-Device Control and Family Sharing

Control multiple smart devices independently using the eWeLink app. You can also share control of your smart switch with family members, allowing everyone to manage the devices remotely.

5. LAN Control

For TX series switches, a LAN control option is available. This allows you to run appliances even without a Wi-Fi connection, ensuring functionality is not influenced by Wi-Fi disconnection or instability.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your SONOFF Smart Light Switch.

  • Device Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. This device does not support 5 GHz networks.
    • Verify that your Wi-Fi password is correct.
    • Make sure the switch is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
    • Confirm the switch is in pairing mode (Wi-Fi LED indicator flashing two short, one long).
  • Lights Not Responding:
    • Check if the neutral wire is properly connected. A neutral wire is required for operation.
    • Ensure all wiring connections (Live In, Live Out) are secure and correct according to the wiring diagram.
    • Verify that the main power supply to the switch is on.
  • Voice Control Not Working:
    • Confirm that your smart assistant (Alexa, Google Home) is properly linked to your eWeLink account.
    • Check your internet connection.
    • Ensure the device name in the eWeLink app matches the name used in voice commands.
  • Switch is Online but Unresponsive:
    • Try restarting the switch by turning off and on the main power supply at the circuit breaker.
    • Check for any app updates for eWeLink.
  • Not a Dimmer Switch:
    • This model (TX T0) is an on/off switch and does not support dimming functionality.
  • DIY Mode Not Supported:
    • The TX series switches do not officially support DIY mode for custom firmware.
