5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the battery pack upwards until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, press the release latch at the bottom of the battery and slide it downwards.
  4. Place the radio (with battery installed) into the desktop charger. Ensure the charging contacts align.
  5. Connect the AC adapter to the desktop charger and plug it into a power outlet.
  6. The charger indicator light will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).

5.2. Antenna Attachment

Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

Attach the belt clip to the back of the radio using the provided screws. Thread the hand strap through the loop on the side of the radio.
