7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your router, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Internet Connection:
- Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with your carrier.
- Check the signal strength LED on the router. If the signal is weak, try repositioning the router or adjusting the external antennas.
- Verify that the APN settings in the router's web interface are correct for your cellular carrier.
- Restart the router by unplugging and replugging the power adapter.
- Slow Internet Speed:
- Check the signal strength. A weak signal will result in slower speeds.
- Reduce the number of connected devices, especially if many are actively streaming or downloading.
- Ensure no background applications on connected devices are consuming excessive bandwidth.
- Cannot Access Web Interface (192.168.1.1):
- Confirm your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network or via an Ethernet cable.
- Ensure you are typing the correct IP address: 192.168.1.1
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- Router Disconnects Frequently:
- Check for network congestion or interference.
- Ensure the router is not overheating.
- Review data limit settings in the web interface, as some plans may enforce disconnections upon reaching limits.
