2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the wall surface is suitable for mounting and can support the weight of the hanger and your instrument. Recommended surfaces include concrete, brick, and wood studs.
  • Always use appropriate mounting hardware and follow installation instructions carefully to prevent damage or injury.
  • Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 35 pounds.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to securely install your MuzicLight Violin Wall Mount Hanger:

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, preferably a wall stud for maximum security. Ensure there is enough space for your instrument.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the hanger against the wall at the desired height. Use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting screws.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type (e.g., 3/16 inch for drywall anchors), drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If mounting into a wood stud, a smaller pilot hole may be sufficient.
  4. Insert Anchors (if needed): If drilling into drywall without a stud, gently tap the provided drywall anchors into the pilot holes until flush with the wall surface.
  5. Attach Hanger: Align the hanger's mounting holes with the drilled holes/anchors. Insert the screws and tighten them securely with a screwdriver until the hanger is firmly attached to the wall. Do not overtighten.
  6. Install Batteries: If using battery power, ensure 2 AA alkaline batteries are correctly inserted into the battery compartment. The batteries are typically included.
  7. Test Stability: Gently pull on the installed hanger to confirm it is stable and securely fastened before hanging your instrument.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Hanging Your Instrument

The headstock cradle is made of solid steel with a foam coating to protect your instrument's finish. The angled cradle design ensures your violin or viola is held securely. To remove the instrument, lift it approximately 2 inches upwards from the cradle.

The MuzicLight hanger can be powered in two ways:

  • AA Batteries: Two AA alkaline batteries (included) provide power for over 200 hours of illumination under normal usage. This offers wireless operation.
  • USB Power: For continuous lighting, the unit can be powered via a USB connection. Connect a standard USB cable (not included) to the USB power input port on the hanger and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank).
