4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

1. Connect the provided charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It takes approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off, depending on the model.

4.2 Powering On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power button (often integrated with the Mode/Play/Pause knob) for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see an indicator light.
• To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the speaker shuts down.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Mode

1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light and an audible prompt.
2. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "Artis BT12" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
5. You can now play music from your device through the speaker.

5.2 FM Radio Mode

1. Press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to FM Radio mode.
2. To auto-scan and save available FM stations, press and hold the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and store stations automatically.
3. Use the 'Previous Track' and 'Next Track' buttons to navigate between saved stations.

5.3 TF Card Reader Mode

1. Insert a TF (MicroSD) card with MP3 audio files into the TF card slot.
2. The speaker will automatically switch to TF Card mode and begin playing music. If not, press the 'M' (Mode) button to select it.
3. Use the control buttons for play/pause, next track, and previous track.

5.4 AUX Input Mode

1. Connect one end of the provided AUX cable to the speaker's AUX port.
2. Connect the other end to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).
3. Press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch to AUX mode.
4. Control music playback from your connected device.

5.5 Hands-Free Calling

1. When a call comes in while connected via Bluetooth, the speaker will ring.
2. Press the Play/Pause button once to answer the call.
3. Press the Play/Pause button again to end the call.
4. To reject an incoming call, press and hold the Play/Pause button.

5.6 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function

To connect two Artis BT12 speakers for a stereo sound experience:

1. Ensure both BT12 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button until you hear a TWS pairing prompt.
3. The primary speaker will search for the secondary speaker. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone.
4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in section 5.1.
5. Audio will now play in stereo through both speakers.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the speaker away from water, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
• Clean the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Avoid dropping the speaker or subjecting it to strong impacts.
• Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
