1.2 Hedge Trimmer Safety Warnings
- Keep all parts of the body away from the cutter blade. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving.
- Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cutter blade stopped and taking care not to operate any power switch.
- When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always fit the blade cover.
- Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutter blade may contact hidden wiring.
- Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather conditions, especially when there is a risk of lightning.

4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your NETTA Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer:
4.1 Attaching the Trimmer Head
- Ensure the battery is removed from the unit.
- Align the trimmer head with the pole connection point.
- Lift the locking flap on the pole connection.
- Insert the trimmer head into the pole until it clicks securely into place.
- Lower the locking flap to secure the connection.

4.2 Adjusting the Telescopic Pole
- To extend the pole, locate the pole length adjustment lock/unlock mechanism.
- Unlock the mechanism, extend the pole to the desired length (up to 2.5m), and then lock it securely.
- Ensure the pole is firmly locked before operation.
4.3 Attaching the Shoulder Support Strap
- Attach the shoulder support strap to the designated hook on the pole.
- Adjust the strap length for comfortable and balanced operation, distributing the weight evenly.
4.4 Adjusting the Cutting Head Angle
- To change the cutting angle, press the 'Rotate Head Angle Button' located on the motor unit.
- Adjust the head to the desired angle between -45° and 90°.
- Release the button to lock the head in position.

5. Battery Charging and Care
The NETTA Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer is powered by a 20V Lithium-Ion battery.
5.1 Charging the Battery
- To remove the battery, squeeze the release buttons on the sides of the battery pack and pull it out from the tool.
- Connect the battery charger to a suitable power outlet.
- Plug the battery pack into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
- A full charge takes approximately 90 minutes.

5.2 Checking Battery Charge Level
- Press the button on the battery pack to illuminate the charge level indicator lights.
- Multiple lights indicate a higher charge.
5.3 Battery Care and Storage
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Do not store batteries in temperatures above 40°C (104°F) or below 0°C (32°F).
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
6. Operating Instructions
Before operating, ensure you have read and understood all safety information.
6.1 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer
- To start the trimmer, engage the 2-way safety switch by pressing the safety button (1) and then squeezing the trigger (2) simultaneously.
- To stop the trimmer, release the trigger.

6.2 Proper Grip and Posture
- Always hold the trimmer firmly with both hands, using the soft grip handles.
- Utilize the shoulder support strap to balance the weight and reduce strain.
- Maintain a stable and balanced stance. Avoid overreaching.
6.3 Trimming Techniques
- Horizontal Trimming: For the top of hedges, hold the trimmer with the blade flat and sweep in smooth, even motions.
- Vertical Trimming: For the sides of hedges, adjust the head angle as needed and sweep upwards or downwards, maintaining a slight taper towards the top.
- Do not force the blades through thick branches. If a branch is too thick (over 14mm), use appropriate pruning tools.

7. Maintenance and Storage
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your hedge trimmer.
7.1 Cleaning the Blades
- Always remove the battery before cleaning.
- Use a stiff brush to remove debris, sap, and leaves from the blades.
- For stubborn residue, use a mild detergent solution or a specialized blade cleaner.
- Dry the blades thoroughly after cleaning.
7.2 Lubrication
- After each use, or at least once a month, apply a light machine oil or blade lubricant along the cutting edge of the blades.
- Run the trimmer briefly to distribute the lubricant evenly.
7.3 General Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe down the main unit and pole with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Always fit the blade cover when the trimmer is not in use or during transport.
- Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.
- For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (as per Section 5.3).

8. Troubleshooting
