Operating Instructions

  1. Filling the Unit: Fill the inner well of the food warmer with the appropriate amount of water. The water level should be sufficient to create steam for heating, but not so high that it overflows when the food pan is inserted.
  2. Inserting Food Pan: Place your food pan (not included) containing the food to be warmed into the inner well. Ensure the pan is properly seated.
  3. Power On and Temperature Setting: Turn the graduated temperature control knob to the desired heat setting. The available settings are:
    • LOW: Approximately 140°F (60°C)
    • MED: Approximately 170°F (77°C)
    • HIGH: Approximately 200°F (93°C)
  4. Heating Indicator Light: The heating light indicator will illuminate when the unit is actively heating and will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
  5. Monitoring: Periodically check the water level in the well and the food temperature to ensure optimal performance and food safety. Add hot water if necessary.
  6. Shutting Down: When finished, turn the temperature control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before handling or cleaning.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your food warmer and ensure hygienic operation.

  1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Empty Water: Carefully drain any remaining water from the inner well.
  3. Interior Cleaning: Clean the interior well with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, a non-abrasive cleaner designed for stainless steel can be used. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth. For best results and to maintain the finish, dry immediately with a soft, dry cloth. The "no drip rim" design helps keep the serving area clean.
  5. Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish.
  6. Storage: Store the food warmer in a clean, dry place when not in use.
