1. Setup
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present before proceeding with assembly and setup.
1.1 Assembly
- Place the lamp base on a stable, flat surface.
- Insert the lamp pole into the base and secure it by turning the knob clockwise until firm.
- Attach the lamp head to the top of the pole and tighten the adjustment knob to hold it in place.
1.2 Power Connection
Plug the power cable into the port at the back of the lamp base, then connect the other end to a standard 120V electrical outlet.

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
The lamp features a touch-sensitive switch located on the base. Tap the switch to cycle through the three brightness levels and to turn the lamp off.
- First Touch: Low Brightness (approx. 160 lumens)
- Second Touch: Medium Brightness (approx. 320 lumens)
- Third Touch: High Brightness (approx. 485 lumens)
- Fourth Touch: Off
The lamp includes a memory feature that remembers your last brightness setting when turned off and on again.

2.2 Color Temperature Selection
This lamp offers three distinct color temperature modes to suit various tasks and preferences. To change the color temperature, press and hold the touch-sensitive switch for 2-3 seconds. The lamp will cycle through the following modes:
- ClearSun Natural Daylight (5000K): Provides balanced, natural light ideal for reading, crafting, and tasks requiring high color accuracy.
- Bright White (4000K): A cooler white light suitable for general illumination and focused work.
- Warm White (2700K): A softer, warmer light for relaxation or ambient lighting.

2.3 USB Charging Port
The lamp is equipped with a 5V, 2.1A USB port located on the base. This port allows you to charge compatible devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets. Simply connect your device's USB charging cable to the port.

2.4 Adjusting Lamp Position
The OttLite Restore lamp features an articulating neck and pivoting shade for optimal light positioning. You can adjust the height of the lamp from 9 inches to 22 inches. Loosen the adjustment knobs on the pole and near the lamp head to reposition, then tighten them to secure the desired angle and height.

2.5 ClearSun LED Technology Overview
The OttLite Restore LED Desk Lamp utilizes proprietary ClearSun LED technology. This technology is designed to closely match the spectral output of natural sunlight, providing balanced and smooth lighting across the entire visual spectrum. This helps to reduce eyestrain by up to 51% and enhances color rendering, making colors appear more vivid and true-to-life (CRI of 97).

3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
To clean the lamp, ensure it is unplugged from the power outlet. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as these may damage the finish or electrical components.
3.2 LED Lifespan
The integrated LEDs in this lamp are rated to last up to 40,000 hours under normal use. The LEDs are not user-replaceable. If the light source fails, the entire lamp unit may need to be replaced.
4. Troubleshooting
- Lamp does not turn on:
- Check if the power cable is securely plugged into both the lamp and the electrical outlet.
- Verify that the electrical outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
- Ensure the touch-sensitive switch is being pressed correctly.
- USB charging port is not working:
- Confirm the lamp is powered on and connected to a live electrical outlet.
- Try a different USB cable or device to rule out issues with the cable or device.
- Light flickers or is inconsistent:
- Ensure the power connection is stable and there are no loose connections.
- Avoid using the lamp with dimmer switches not specifically designed for LED lighting, as this can cause flickering.
