Setup and Assembly

The Stanley SXWTD-FT585 Hand Truck comes 100% fully assembled from the factory. No additional assembly is required. Simply unfold the unit to your desired configuration (hand truck or platform cart) before use.

Unfolding for Use:

1. To convert to a hand truck, ensure the base plate is folded down and the handle is extended upwards. Secure the handle in place using the locking clips.
2. To convert to a platform cart, release the handle locking mechanism and fold the handle down. Extend the base plate to form a flat platform. Ensure all wheels are properly deployed.

Operating Instructions

Hand Truck Mode (2-Wheel Operation):

• Ensure the unit is in the upright hand truck configuration.
• Place the item(s) to be moved onto the base plate.
• Use the included bungee cord to secure the load to the frame, preventing shifting during transport.
• Tilt the hand truck back using the TPR grip handle and carefully move the load.
• Maximum load capacity in hand truck mode: 154.3 lbs (70 kg).

Platform Cart Mode (4-Wheel Operation):

• Ensure the unit is converted to the flat platform cart configuration.
