1. Introduction and Product Overview
The MPP SOLAR LV5048 is a 5000W/48VDC off-grid solar hybrid inverter designed for use in regions utilizing 110/120V single-phase, 120V/240V split-phase, or 208V three-phase load configurations. This model is particularly suitable for off-grid applications in areas such as the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, where 120V/240V split-phase power standards are common, eliminating the need for an external step-down transformer.
Each LV5048 unit integrates two 80A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar chargers and supports parallel operation for up to three units, with the parallel kit built-in. The inverter offers high programmability via its LCD menu, supporting both 50Hz and 60Hz operation, as well as dual AC or DC priority modes. It also includes a generator starter dry contact feature and comes with the WatchPower monitoring program.
A single LV5048 unit is capable of providing four distinct output types:
- 110V/120V Single Phase
- 120V/240V Split Phase
- 208V Split Phase
- 208V 3-Phase
