Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the drying trays, fine mesh sheet, and fruit roll tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the dehydrator base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  3. Assemble Trays: Place the drying trays onto the dehydrator base. The trays are stackable and can be rotated 180° to adjust the inter-layer height, providing either 0.78" (2cm) or 1.25" (3.2cm) clearance between layers.

Operating Instructions

Food Preparation

  • Clean and Slice: Wash and thoroughly clean all food items. Slice food into uniform pieces (approximately 1/4 inch thick) for even drying.
  • Pre-treatment (Optional): Some foods, like apples or potatoes, may benefit from pre-treatment (e.g., blanching or soaking in lemon juice) to prevent discoloration.
  • Loading Trays: Arrange food in a single layer on the drying trays. Do not overlap pieces. For smaller items like herbs, use the fine mesh sheet. For purees or liquid foods (e.g., fruit leathers), use the fruit roll tray.

Using the Control Panel

The dehydrator features an intelligent control panel for setting time and temperature.
