Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install your Sonew Digital Peephole Door Viewer:

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has a standard peephole hole. The device is suitable for various door thicknesses. If no hole exists, a 14-22mm diameter hole is typically required.
  2. Insert Outdoor Unit: Insert the outdoor peephole camera unit through the door from the outside. Ensure the camera is facing outwards and is level.
  3. Attach Mounting Bracket: From the inside of the door, slide the mounting bracket over the cable from the outdoor unit. Secure the bracket to the door using the provided screws.
  4. Connect Indoor Monitor: Connect the cable from the outdoor unit to the designated port on the back of the indoor LCD monitor.
  5. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the indoor monitor and insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Mount Indoor Monitor: Align the indoor monitor with the mounting bracket and slide it downwards until it clicks securely into place.

Operating Instructions

Using your digital peephole viewer is straightforward:

  1. Power On: Press the power button located on the indoor monitor to activate the screen.
  2. View Outside: The 3.5-inch LCD screen will display a live view from the outdoor camera. The 120-degree wide-angle lens provides a comprehensive view of your doorstep.
  3. Automatic Shut-off: The screen will automatically turn off after a short period to conserve battery life. You can press the power button again to reactivate it.
  4. Low Power Alert: The device will indicate when the batteries are low, prompting replacement.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the low power alert is displayed, replace all 4 AAA batteries with new ones. Ensure correct polarity during installation.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and the camera lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Environmental Conditions: The outdoor unit is designed for exterior use, but extreme weather conditions may affect performance. Ensure the indoor unit is kept in a dry environment.

Troubleshooting
