3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the cooler from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage. Check for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, contact your supplier immediately.
3.2 Power Connection
The Dometic Tropicool TCX 35 can be powered by two different sources:
- 12/24 V DC: Connect the provided cigarette lighter cable to the DC input socket on the cooler and then to your vehicle's 12V or 24V cigarette lighter socket. The active battery protection feature prevents deep discharge of the vehicle battery.
- 230 V AC: Connect the provided 220-240V AC cable to the AC input socket on the cooler and then to a standard mains power outlet. The cooler features a priority circuit for mains operation, meaning it will automatically switch to AC power if both DC and AC are connected.
3.3 Initial Use
Before first use, it is recommended to clean the interior of the cooler with a damp cloth. For optimal performance, pre-cool or pre-heat the unit for a few hours before loading items.
