Carefully remove the SANSUI MSR-1 from its packaging. Verify that all accessories are present:

The MSR-1 operates on an internal rechargeable battery or via a USB AC adapter (sold separately).

  1. Charging: Connect the supplied Micro USB cable to the unit's Micro USB port and the other end to a USB AC adapter (output 5V/1A or higher, AC100V 50/60Hz recommended). The charging indicator will illuminate.
  2. First Use: For optimal battery life, fully charge the unit before its first use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off and Volume Control

Locate the ON/OFF / VOL knob on the front panel.

Use the mode switch (labeled BT/AUX, FM, AM) to select your desired audio source.

5.3. AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Select Mode: Set the mode switch to FM or AM.
  2. Extend Antenna: For FM reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the back of the unit. For AM reception, the internal antenna is used, but adjusting the unit's orientation may improve reception.
  3. Tune Station: Rotate the TUNING knob to scan for radio stations. The frequency will be displayed on the front panel.

5.4. Bluetooth Operation

  1. Select Mode: Set the mode switch to BT/AUX. The unit will enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator (if present, or an audible prompt).
  2. Enable Bluetooth on Device: On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Pair: Select "SANSUI MSR-1" (or similar name) from the list of found devices. Once paired, the unit will emit a confirmation sound, and the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing.
  4. Play Audio: Start playing audio on your connected device. The sound will be output through the MSR-1 speaker.

5.5. USB/MicroSD Playback

The MSR-1 supports MP3 audio files from USB memory sticks and microSD cards.

  1. Insert Media: Insert a USB memory stick into the USB port or a microSD card into the microSD slot.
  2. Automatic Playback: The unit should automatically detect the media and begin playing MP3 files.
  3. Navigation: Use the playback control buttons (e.g., Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) on the unit to control audio playback.

  1. Select Mode: Set the mode switch to BT/AUX.
