1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the JUGREAT Electronic Digital Security Safe Box. This safe is designed to provide secure storage for your valuables, documents, and personal items. It features a robust steel construction, an electronic digital keypad for access, and an internal induction light for visibility. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the safe to ensure proper setup and usage.

2.2 Key Features

  • Electronic Digital Keypad: For secure and quick access with a programmable personal code.
  • Override Keys: Provides manual access in case of forgotten code or battery depletion.
  • Induction Light: Illuminates the interior of the safe when opened, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions. The light remains bright for 30 seconds, then dims and turns off automatically.
  • Steel Construction: Durable and pry-resistant steel door with concealed hinges for enhanced security.
  • Mounting Capability: Pre-drilled holes and included bolts for wall or cabinet anchoring.
  • Automatic Warning Function: Activates an alarm after multiple incorrect code entries.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Opening and Battery Installation

  1. Locate the emergency lock cover on the front panel.
  2. Carefully remove the emergency lock cover.
  3. Insert one of the override keys into the keyhole. Turn the key counter-clockwise.
  4. While the key is turned, rotate the entry knob clockwise to open the safe door.
  5. Open the safe door. Inside, locate the battery compartment on the back of the door.
  6. Install 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
  7. Close the battery compartment cover.

Important: Do not store the override keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure, separate location.

3.2 Setting Your Personal Passcode

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the battery compartment.
  2. Press the red reset button. You will hear a beep, and the yellow light on the keypad will illuminate.
  3. Enter your desired personal code (3 to 8 digits) on the keypad.
  4. Press the 'E' button to confirm your new code. You will hear a confirmation beep.
  5. Test your new code with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

3.3 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be securely mounted to a wall or cabinet using the provided mounting bolts. This prevents unauthorized removal of the entire safe.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting. Ensure the surface is solid and can support the weight of the safe and its contents.
  2. Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom panel.
  3. Position the safe in the desired location and mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes.
  4. Drill pilot holes into the wall or cabinet using an appropriate drill bit.
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the mounting bolts.
  6. Tighten the bolts securely to fasten the safe in place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Opening with Personal Passcode

  1. Enter your personal code (3 to 8 digits) on the keypad.
  2. Press the 'E' button. The green light will illuminate, indicating the code is correct.
  3. Within 5 seconds, rotate the entry knob clockwise to open the safe door.
  4. The internal induction light will activate upon opening, providing visibility.

4.2 Opening with Override Key

The override key provides emergency access if you forget your code or if the batteries are depleted.

  1. Remove the emergency lock cover.
  2. Insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise.
  3. While the key is turned, rotate the entry knob clockwise to open the safe door.

4.3 Closing and Locking the Safe

To lock the safe, simply close the door and rotate the entry knob counter-clockwise. The safe will automatically lock.

4.4 Automatic Warning Function

If three consecutive incorrect codes are entered, the safe will activate a warning beep for 20 seconds. If three more consecutive incorrect codes are entered immediately after, the warning beep will sound for 300 seconds.

5. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator light appears or if the keypad becomes unresponsive. Always use 4 new AA batteries.
  • Cleaning: Clean the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Internal Protection: The safe includes an anti-scratch floor mat to protect your valuables from scratches. Ensure it is properly placed.

6. Troubleshooting
