Controls and Indicators:

  • Power Button: Located on the left earcup. Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Volume Up/Next Track Button (+): Located on the left earcup. Short press for volume up, long press for next track.
  • Volume Down/Previous Track Button (-): Located on the left earcup. Short press for volume down, long press for previous track.
  • Multi-function Button (MFB): Located on the left earcup. Used for play/pause, answer/end calls, and Bluetooth pairing.
  • LED Indicator: Shows power status, charging status, and Bluetooth pairing status.
  • USB-C Charging Port: For charging the internal battery.
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack: For wired connection using the included audio cable.

Setup

1. Charging the Headphones:

Before first use, fully charge your GW100 v2 headphones. A full charge provides up to 40 hours of playback.

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the USB-C port on the left earcup.
  2. Connect the large end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and change color or turn off when charging is complete.

2. Powering On/Off:

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns off.

Operating

1. Bluetooth Pairing:

The GW100 v2 headphones use Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity, supporting Apt-X, AAC, and SBC codecs.

  1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly (usually blue and red), indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  4. Search for available devices. Select "GRADO GW100 v2" from the list.
  5. Once connected, the LED indicator will typically show a solid blue light or flash slowly.
  6. The headphones will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

3. Wired Connection:

The GW100 v2 can also be used as traditional wired headphones, even if the battery is depleted.

  1. Connect one end of the included 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm audio jack on the left earcup.
  2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the audio output of your device.
  3. In wired mode, the headphone's internal battery and Bluetooth functions are bypassed.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the headphones. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the headphones.
  • Storage: Store the headphones in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Ear Cushions: The foam ear cushions can be gently removed and replaced if necessary. Avoid excessive pulling.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
