1. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions before using the LUXPRO XP1814 work light. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery type (6 C batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Insert batteries with correct polarity (+/-). Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • Light Exposure: Do not stare directly into the LED light. The high intensity light can cause temporary vision impairment or eye damage.
  • Heat: The light may become warm during prolonged use. Avoid direct contact with the LED panel when operating.
  • Water Resistance: This product is not water resistant. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity to prevent damage.
  • Children: Keep out of reach of children. This is not a toy.
  • Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the light. Contact customer support for service.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The XP1814 work light requires 6 C-cell alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the side of the light.
  2. Unscrew or unlatch the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert 6 C-cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Modes

The power button is located on the side of the light. Press the button to cycle through the modes:

  • First press: High mode (1300 lumens).
  • Second press: Low mode (460 lumens).
  • Third press: Off.

4.2 Pivoting Head Adjustment

The LED panel can pivot up to 225 degrees, allowing you to direct light precisely where needed. Gently adjust the light panel to your desired angle.

4.3 Magnetic Base and Hook Usage

The XP1814 features a strong magnetic base and an integrated hook for hands-free operation.

  • Magnetic Base: Attach the light to any ferrous metal surface. Ensure the surface is clean and strong enough to support the light's weight.
  • Integrated Hook: Extend the hook from the top of the light to hang it from overhead structures, ropes, or other suitable points.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the light with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the light is off and batteries are removed before cleaning.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace all 6 C-cell batteries when the light output diminishes significantly or the light stops functioning. Refer to Section 3.1 for battery installation instructions.

5.3 Storage

Store the work light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage and damage to the device.

6. Troubleshooting
