3. Setup (Preparation Before First Use)

1. Before initial use, wash the silicone mold thoroughly with warm, soapy water.
2. Rinse completely to remove any soap residue.
3. Dry the mold completely before storage or use.
4. When using for baking, place the mold on a stable, flat surface, such as a baking sheet, before filling. This prevents spills and helps maintain the mold's shape during transfer to the oven.

4. Operating Instructions (Usage)

4.1 For Baking

1. Preheat your oven to the desired temperature, up to a maximum of 446 degrees Fahrenheit (230 degrees Celsius).
2. Place the silicone mold on a baking sheet for stability.
3. Pour your cake batter or other mixture into the individual cavities. Avoid overfilling to ensure proper shape formation.
4. Bake according to your recipe's instructions.
5. Allow baked goods to cool completely in the mold before attempting to remove them. This helps maintain the intricate character shapes and prevents tearing.

4.2 For Chilling/Freezing

1. Pour liquid ingredients (e.g., jello, melted chocolate, water for ice) into the cavities.
2. Place the mold on a flat surface in the refrigerator or freezer until the contents are fully set.
3. To remove the chilled or frozen items, gently push from the bottom of the mold. The flexible silicone allows for easy release.

5. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Hand wash the mold with warm, soapy water. Use a soft sponge or cloth.
• Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sharp objects, as these can damage the silicone surface.
• Dishwasher: This mold is not dishwasher safe.
• Drying: Allow the mold to air dry completely or dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
• Storage: Store the mold in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the mold to prevent deformation.

6. Troubleshooting

• Difficulty Removing Items: Ensure baked goods are fully cooled or chilled/frozen items are completely set before attempting to remove. Gently flex the silicone mold to help release the contents. For baking, a light coating of cooking spray before filling can also assist.
• Odor Retention: If the mold retains odors from previous use, soak it in a solution of baking soda and water (approximately 1 tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water) for a few hours, then wash and rinse thoroughly.
