1. Introduction

The BOYA RX8Pro is a professional UHF dual-channel wireless receiver designed for use with DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, and video cameras. 3. Setup Guide

3.1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the RX8Pro receiver.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery cover securely.

3.2. Mounting the Receiver

The RX8Pro includes a detachable shoemount adapter for easy attachment to a camera's hot shoe or cold shoe mount.

1. Attach the shoemount adapter to the bottom of the receiver.
2. Slide the receiver with the shoemount into your camera's hot shoe.
3. Tighten the locking wheel on the shoemount to secure the receiver.
4. Alternatively, use the belt clip for attaching to clothing or a belt.

3.3. Connecting to Your Camera

Use the provided cables to connect the receiver to your recording device.

• For DSLR/Mirrorless Cameras: Use the locking 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. Connect one end to the RX8Pro's "OUTPUT" jack and the other end to your camera's microphone input.
• For Professional Camcorders/Mixers: Use the locking 3.5mm mini-jack to XLR cable. Connect the 3.5mm end to the RX8Pro's "OUTPUT" jack and the XLR end to your device's XLR input.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side panel of the receiver. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on the device. Slide it to "OFF" to power down.

4.2. Channel Selection

The RX8Pro features 48 selectable UHF channels. Ensure the receiver and transmitter (sold separately) are set to the same channel to establish a connection.

1. Press the "SET" button to enter the channel selection mode.
2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to cycle through available channels.
3. Press "SET" again to confirm your selection.
4. Observe the "LINK" indicator on the receiver; it should illuminate when a successful connection with a transmitter is established.

4.3. Audio Monitoring

Connect headphones to the 3.5mm headphone output jack on the receiver to monitor audio in real-time. This allows you to verify audio quality and levels during recording.

4.4. Output Level Adjustment

Adjust the output level of the receiver to match the input sensitivity of your camera or recording device. Refer to your camera's manual for optimal audio input settings.

5. Maintenance

• Keep the receiver dry. Do not expose it to water or excessive humidity.
• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Store the receiver in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
