2. Operating Instructions (Gameplay)

The objective of Atlantis Escape is to create a continuous path from the high tower (start) to the harbor (exit) using the provided stairway pieces. The city is sinking, so you must find the shortest path!

How to Play:

  1. Choose a Challenge: Open the challenge booklet and select one of the 60 challenges. Each challenge indicates the specific tower pieces to be used and their initial placement on the game board.
  2. Place Initial Pieces: Carefully place the indicated tower pieces onto the game board according to the challenge diagram. Ensure they are placed correctly and securely.
  3. Build the Path: Using the remaining tower pieces, create a continuous path from the high tower (blue starting point) to the harbor (blue exit point).
    • Pieces must be placed on the grid squares.
    • Stairways must connect logically, allowing movement up or down.
    • Overhanging parts or gaps in the path are not allowed.
    • There is only one correct solution for each challenge.
  4. Solve the Puzzle: Continue arranging the pieces until a complete and valid path is formed.
  5. Check Your Solution: If you get stuck or want to verify your solution, refer to the solution section at the back of the challenge booklet.

3. Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity of your Atlantis Escape game.

Cleaning:

Wipe all game pieces and the board with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Storage:

Store all game components in their original plastic case and then back into the product box. Keep the game in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent warping or damage to the plastic.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter difficulties while playing, consider the following:

Common Issues:

  • Cannot find a solution: Double-check that you are using only the pieces specified for the current challenge. Ensure all pieces are placed correctly and are not overlapping or leaving gaps. Refer to the solution in the booklet if necessary.
  • Pieces do not fit: Verify that you are attempting to place pieces on the correct grid squares as indicated by the challenge. Some pieces are designed to fit in specific orientations.
  • Game board appears warped: Ensure the game board is placed on a completely flat surface. If warping persists, it may be due to exposure to extreme temperatures. Store as recommended in the Maintenance section.
