Use the TX/RX slide switch on the side of the device to select the desired mode:

  • TX (Transmitter) Mode: To send audio from a non-Bluetooth device (e.g., TV, PC) to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
  • RX (Receiver) Mode: To receive audio from a Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and output it to a wired audio system (e.g., home stereo, car radio, wired headphones).

Operating Instructions

A. Transmitter (TX) Mode

In TX mode, the ABT00101 transmits audio from your audio source to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

  1. Connect Audio Source:
    • Analog Connection: Connect the 3.5 mm audio cable from your audio source's headphone jack or audio output to the ABT00101's AUX port. If your source has RCA outputs, use the provided RCA adapter.
    • Digital Optical Connection: Connect the fibre-optic (Toslink) cable from your audio source's SPDIF optical output (e.g., TV) to the ABT00101's SPDIF RX port.
  2. Power On: Slide the TX/RX switch to "TX". Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device. The LED will flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
  3. Pairing with Bluetooth Headphones/Speakers:
    • Put your Bluetooth headphones or speaker into pairing mode (refer to their respective manuals).
    • Press the Pairing button on the ABT00101. The device will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices in pairing mode.
    • Once connected, the LED indicator will change, typically to a solid blue or a specific color indicating the active codec.
  4. Multipoint Connection (TX Mode): The ABT00101 supports connecting to two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously (not supported with aptX Low Latency). After pairing the first device, put the second device into pairing mode and press the Pairing button on the ABT00101 again.
  5. Codec Selection (aptX HD / aptX LL): To toggle between aptX HD and aptX Low Latency priority, press and hold the multifunction (power) button for 8 seconds until the LED blinks green. The device will then prioritize the selected codec if supported by the connected headphones.
    • aptX HD: Provides superior audio quality. LED blinks blue 4x every 10 seconds when active.
    • aptX Low Latency: Minimizes audio delay, ideal for TV and gaming. LED blinks blue 3x every 10 seconds when active.
