Press and hold the Power button located on the control panel to turn the speaker on or off. An audible prompt will confirm the power status.

Using the Pong Tray

The Wave Rider speaker is designed to integrate with a floating pong tray (sold separately). The speaker unit itself has two cup holders. The pong tray attaches to the speaker, providing multiple cup slots for a game of pong while floating in the water or placed on a table. This feature allows for interactive entertainment alongside music playback.

Maintenance

Waterproofing

The Wave Rider is IP67 waterproof. Ensure all port covers (charging, AUX) are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water to maintain its waterproof integrity. After use in chlorinated or saltwater, rinse the speaker with fresh water and allow it to dry completely before charging or opening any ports.

Cleaning

Clean the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the metal grate, regular cleaning and drying are recommended to prevent rust, especially after exposure to water.

Troubleshooting

  • Speaker is unresponsive or won't power on/off: Ensure the battery is charged. If a Bluetooth device has switched audio to another device, the Wave Rider may become unresponsive. Try disconnecting from the Bluetooth device or restarting the speaker if possible.
  • Sound is muffled when in water: When the speaker is floating or submerged, water on the speaker grilles can temporarily dampen the sound. This is normal. For optimal sound quality, ensure the speaker grilles are clear of water.
  • Poor sound quality or weak bass: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Check the audio source and its volume. If using Bluetooth, ensure your device is within range.
  • Cannot pair via Bluetooth: Make sure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Turn off Bluetooth on other nearby devices that may be interfering. Try forgetting the device on your phone and re-pairing.
  • FM radio reception is poor: Try repositioning the speaker to improve signal reception.
