2.3 Installing the Head Shield

  1. Attach the weed eater head shield to the lower part of the shaft, above the trimmer head.
  2. Align the shield with the designated mounting points and secure it with the head shield mounting screw. This shield is crucial for operator safety.

3. Setup

Proper setup ensures optimal performance and safety of your SENIX 4QL trimmer.

3.1 Fueling the Engine

The SENIX GTS4QL-L features a 4-cycle engine, which means it does not require mixing gas and oil. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 or any gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol.

  • Ensure the engine is off and cool before refueling.
  • Refuel in a well-ventilated outdoor area.
  • Remove the fuel cap slowly to release pressure.
  • Fill the fuel tank carefully, avoiding overfilling. Leave space for fuel expansion.
  • Securely replace the fuel cap.

3.2 Engine Oil

The 4-cycle engine requires engine oil. The product comes with a 2 oz bottle of engine oil. Refer to the engine oil cap for the correct oil type and fill level. Check oil level before each use.

  • The 17.7-inch cutting width allows for efficient coverage of larger areas.
  • The dual .095-inch string trimmer line with bump feed is designed to tackle tough weeds and growth. To advance the line, gently tap the trimmer head on the ground while the engine is running at full throttle.
