Power Supply

Your scale offers two convenient power options:

  • AAA Batteries: Insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale.
  • USB Power: Connect the scale to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. Note that the USB connection provides power directly and does not recharge the AAA batteries.

Setup and Calibration

Initial Setup

  1. Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface, away from vibrations or air currents.
  2. Ensure the windscreen is properly installed.
  3. Power on the scale using either AAA batteries or the USB cable.

Calibration

Calibration is essential for accurate measurements. Perform calibration regularly or if you suspect inaccuracies.

  1. Turn the scale ON. Wait for the display to show "0.000g".
  2. Press and hold the "M" (Mode) key until "CAL" appears on the display, then release.
  3. Press the "M" key again. The display will flash the required calibration weight (e.g., "100.000g").
  4. Gently place the provided 100g calibration weight onto the center of the weighing surface.
  5. Wait for the display to show "PASS" and then return to "0.000g". This indicates successful calibration.
  6. Remove the calibration weight. The scale is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Basic Weighing

  1. Place the scale on a stable surface and turn it ON.
  2. Wait for the display to show "0.000g".
  3. Carefully place the item(s) to be weighed onto the center of the weighing surface.
  4. Read the stable weight displayed on the screen.

Unit Change

To change the weighing unit, press the "M" (Mode) key repeatedly to cycle through the available units: G (grams), MG (milligrams), OZ (ounces), OZT (troy ounces), DWT (pennyweights), CT (carats), GN (grains), and TL (taels).

Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the net weight of its contents.

  1. Place an empty container (e.g., the plastic weighing pan) on the weighing surface.
  2. Press the "T" (Tare) key. The display will reset to "0.000g".
  3. Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the weight of the items.
  4. Note: Some users have reported inconsistencies with the TARE button. If you experience issues, ensure the scale displays "0.000" with nothing on it before placing your container.

Counting Function (PCS)

The PCS function allows you to count multiple small items of uniform weight.

  1. Turn on the scale and wait for "0.000g".
  2. Press and hold the "P" (PCS) button until "PCS" flashes on the display.
  3. Press the "M" (Mode) button to select a sample quantity (e.g., 25, 50, 75, or 100 pieces).
  4. Place the selected sample quantity (e.g., 25 pieces) of your item onto the weighing surface.
  5. Press the "P" button once to confirm the sample. The display will show the sample quantity.
  6. Remove the sample. Now, when you place any quantity of the same item on the scale, it will display the count.
  7. Attention: For accurate counting, the items must have a consistent weight.

Auto-Off Adjustment

You can adjust the automatic shut-off time to conserve battery life or keep the scale on for longer periods.

  1. With the scale OFF, press and hold the "T" (Tare) key.
  2. While holding "T", press the "On-off" key to turn the scale ON. Continue holding "T".
  3. The display will show a number (e.g., "120"), indicating the current auto-off time in seconds.
  4. Press the "M" (Mode) key to cycle through available auto-off times (e.g., 60, 120, 180 seconds, or "00" for no automatic shut-off).
  5. Once you have selected your desired auto-off time, press the "T" key briefly to confirm. The display will show "PASS" and then return to normal weighing mode.

Video: This video demonstrates how to adjust the auto-off time for the scale, including setting it to never shut off automatically.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a cool, dry place. If not used for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Protection: Always use the windscreen to protect the weighing mechanism from dust and air currents.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Scale does not turn on.Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery installation; no USB power.Replace batteries or ensure USB cable is properly connected to a working power source. Check battery polarity.
Inaccurate readings. Not calibrated; unstable surface; air currents; overloaded scale; dirty weighing surface.Perform calibration. Place on a stable, level surface. Use the windscreen. Do not exceed 100g. Clean the weighing surface.
"EEEE" or "O_LD" displayed.Overload error.Remove the item immediately. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 100g.
Tare function not working as expected.Inconsistent tare operation.Ensure the scale displays "0.000g" before placing any container. If issues persist, try recalibrating.
Counting function (PCS) is inaccurate.Items have inconsistent weight; incorrect sample quantity selected.Ensure all items for counting have a uniform weight. Double-check the sample quantity during setup.
