2. Adjusting Tripod Height
- Leg Sections: Unlock the flip locks on each leg section. Extend the leg sections to the desired length and firmly close the flip locks to secure them.
- Center Column: To raise the center column, loosen the center column lock knob (refer to Figure 3). Extend the center column to the desired height, then tighten the lock knob to secure it. Do not over-extend the center column beyond its safety stop.

- Attach to Device: Screw the quick release plate onto the bottom of your camera or attach your smartphone to the included smartphone mount, then secure the mount to the quick release plate. Ensure it is tightly fastened.
- Mount Device: Slide the quick release plate with your device back into the tripod head until it clicks securely into place. Verify that the device is firmly attached before releasing your grip.

Operating the Tripod
1. Pan and Tilt Adjustments
The tripod head allows for smooth horizontal (pan) and vertical (tilt) movements:
- Tilt Adjustment: Loosen the tilt lock knob (usually located on the side of the head) to adjust the vertical angle of your device. Tighten the knob to secure the desired angle.
- Pan Adjustment: Loosen the pan lock knob (usually at the base of the head) to rotate your device horizontally. Tighten the knob to lock the horizontal position.
- Use the pan/tilt handle for precise control during adjustments.

2. Leveling the Tripod
For perfectly level shots, use the integrated bubble level on the tripod head:
- Adjust the length of the tripod legs until the bubble in the level is centered.
- Minor adjustments can also be made using the tilt mechanism of the tripod head.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tripod:
- Cleaning: Wipe down aluminum and plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Lubrication: Do not apply lubricants to the leg locks or moving parts unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer, as this can attract dust and debris.
- Storage: Store the tripod in its included carry bag (Figure 6) in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws, knobs, and leg locks to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose components carefully.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your tripod, refer to the following common solutions:
- Tripod is unstable: Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and their flip locks are securely closed. Check that the center column lock knob is tightened. Verify the tripod is on a flat surface.
- Head movement is stiff: Loosen the pan and tilt lock knobs slightly. If still stiff, ensure no debris is obstructing the movement. Do not force adjustments.
- Device not attaching securely: Ensure the quick release plate is properly screwed onto your device and then fully inserted into the tripod head until it locks. Check for any obstructions in the quick release mechanism.
- Smartphone mount issues: Ensure the smartphone mount is correctly attached to the quick release plate and your phone is securely clamped within the mount.
