1. Product Overview

The Preciva 6 Inch Digital Caliper is a versatile and high-precision measuring instrument designed for both DIY enthusiasts and professional use. It offers a measurement range of 0-6 inches (0-150mm) with a resolution of 0.01”/0.1mm and an accuracy of ±0.2mm/0.01”. This digital caliper features a large LCD screen for clear readings, IP54 waterproof rating for durability, and convenient inch/metric/fraction conversion. 3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

Your Preciva Digital Caliper comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery and a spare. Before first use, ensure the white insulating tab is removed from the battery compartment. For long-term storage, it is recommended to reinsert this tab to prevent battery drain.

  1. Locate the battery cap (9) on the digital display unit.
  2. Slide the battery cap open.
  3. Remove the white insulating tab if present.
  4. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  5. Close the battery cap securely.

3.2 Initial Power On and Zero Setting

After installing the battery, press the 'ON/OFF' button (7) to power on the caliper. Close the measuring jaws completely and press the 'ZERO' button (8) to set the display to zero. This ensures accurate measurements.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Measurement

  1. Turn on the caliper by pressing the 'ON/OFF' button (7).
  2. Ensure the jaws are closed and press 'ZERO' (8) to set the display to zero.
  3. Slide the measuring jaws to the desired position using the thumb roller or by hand.
  4. Read the measurement directly from the large LCD display (5).

4.2 Unit Conversion (mm/inch/Fraction)

To switch between measurement units (millimeters, inches, or fractions), simply press the 'mm/inch/F' button (4). The display will cycle through the available units.

4.3 Zero Setting for Differential Measurements

The 'ZERO' button (8) allows you to reset the display to zero at any point along the scale. This is useful for measuring differences in dimensions or for setting a reference point.

4.4 Automatic Shut-off

The caliper will automatically turn off after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery power.
