Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your CLEMSA MTH2 remote control. The CLEMSA MTH2 is designed for 100% compatibility with CLEMSA MT1 garage door operators, utilizing a dip switch configuration for seamless integration. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure proper functionality and longevity of your device.
Setup and Configuration
The CLEMSA MTH2 remote control uses a dip switch system for configuration, ensuring compatibility with CLEMSA MT1 and MT2 models. Follow these steps to configure your remote:
- Step 1: Select Your Model
From the provided compatibility list (see image below), identify the specific model of remote control you intend to configure the MTH2 for. - Step 2: Set Dip Switches
Insert the corresponding code for your chosen remote model by carefully positioning the dip switches on the MTH2. Match the switch positions exactly as indicated in the compatibility list. - Step 3: Initiate Programming
Bridge connector A with a wire. Refer to the image below for the exact location of connector A. The LED indicator on the MTH2 will illuminate. Maintain contact for a minimum of 2 seconds. After 2 seconds, remove the wire. - Step 4: Final Dip Switch Adjustment
Adjust the dip switches on the MTH2 to precisely match the configuration of your original CLEMSA MT1 remote control. This ensures proper communication with your garage door operator.

Operating the Remote Control
Once configured, operating your CLEMSA MTH2 remote control is straightforward:
- Opening/Closing the Garage Door: Press any of the four buttons on the remote control. The garage door operator will respond by opening or closing the door.
- Range: The remote has a maximum operating range of 10 meters. Ensure you are within this range for reliable operation.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your remote control.
- Battery Replacement: The CLEMSA MTH2 uses a Lithium battery. When the remote's range decreases or the LED indicator fails to light up consistently, it is time to replace the battery. This model does not use rechargeable batteries.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the remote control. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the casing and internal components.
- Storage: Store the remote control in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your CLEMSA MTH2 remote control, refer to the following common solutions:
- Remote Not Responding:
- Check the battery. Replace it if necessary.
- Ensure you are within the 10-meter operating range of the garage door operator.
- Verify that the dip switches are set correctly according to the compatibility list and your original MT1 remote.
- LED Not Lighting Up:
- This usually indicates a depleted battery. Replace the Lithium battery.
- During programming (Step 3), ensure the wire connection to connector A is secure and maintained for at least 2 seconds.
- Interference:
- Other electronic devices or strong radio signals might interfere with the remote's infrared signal. Try operating the remote from a different position.
