1. Introduction

2. Setup
2.1 What's in the Box

2.2 Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge your MEGABOOM 3. Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the speaker and to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging port is located under a protective flap at the bottom of the speaker.
For wireless charging, the POWER UP charging dock (sold separately) can be used. Place the speaker on the dock to charge.
2.3 Powering On/Off
To power on the speaker, press the power button located on the top of the speaker. To power off, press and hold the power button until the speaker indicates it is powering down.

2.4 Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on your MEGABOOM 3 speaker.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button (small button next to the power button) until you hear an audible tone and the LED flashes rapidly. This indicates the speaker is in pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "MEGABOOM 3" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible tone, and the LED will glow solid.
Your speaker is now ready to play audio from your device.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Basic Audio Control
- Volume Control: Use the large '+' and '-' buttons on the front of the speaker to adjust the volume.
- Magic Button: The large circular button on top of the speaker is the Magic Button.
- Press once to play or pause the current track.
- Press twice to skip to the next track.
3.2 Ultimate Ears App Features
Download the Ultimate Ears app for additional features and control over your MEGABOOM 3 speaker.
- PartyUp: Use the PartyUp feature in the app to connect multiple Ultimate Ears BOOM and MEGABOOM speakers (any generation) for a synchronized audio experience. You can pair 2, 3, 4, or even over 150 speakers.
- Custom EQ: Adjust the equalizer settings to customize the sound profile to your preference.
- Remote On/Off: Power your speaker on or off remotely through the app.
- Alarm: Use your speaker as an alarm clock.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Water and Dust Resistance
The MEGABOOM 3 has an IP67 water and dustproof rating. This means it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes. It also floats.

Ensure the protective flap covering the charging port is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.
4.2 Cleaning
To clean your speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. If the speaker has been exposed to saltwater or chlorinated water, rinse it with fresh water and allow it to air dry completely before charging.
4.3 Storage
Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Power
- Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB cable.
- Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just in a sleep state.
5.2 Bluetooth Connection Issues
- Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing Bluetooth LED).
- Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range (up to 10 meters).
- Try forgetting the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pairing.
- Restart both your speaker and your Bluetooth device.
5.3 No Sound or Low Volume
- Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected device.

- If using PartyUp, ensure all speakers are connected and functioning correctly.
5.4 Speaker Not Responding
If the speaker becomes unresponsive, perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for approximately 15 seconds until it powers off and then power it back on.
