Setup

1. Initial NVR Setup

  1. Install SD Card: Locate the SD card slot on the NVR and insert the pre-installed 32GB SD card. The system supports up to 128GB.
  2. Install Batteries: Insert the two rechargeable batteries into the designated compartment on the NVR.
  3. Power On: Connect the NVR to a power source using the provided DC5V 2.5A adapter.

2. Camera Installation

  • Attach Antennas: Screw the antennas onto the cameras.
  • Power Cameras: Connect each 3MP camera to a continuous 12V DC power source using the provided adapters. Cameras are not battery-powered.
  • Mounting: Use the provided screws and wall stickers to securely mount the cameras in desired indoor or outdoor locations. The cameras feature IP66 weatherproofing and a 360° rotatable bracket.

3. Wireless Connection (Auto-Pair)

The cameras and NVR are designed for auto-pairing. Once both are powered on, they should automatically connect. No complex configurations are needed for local use.

4. Remote Access via App

For remote viewing on your phone or PC/laptop, connect the NVR to your WiFi router using an Ethernet cable. Then, download the "EseeCloud" app.

  1. Download App: Search for "EseeCloud" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Register Account: Follow the in-app instructions to register a new account.
  3. Add Device: Scan the QR code displayed on the NVR screen or manually enter the device ID to add your system to the app.
  4. Live View: Once added, you can view live feeds, playback recordings, and manage settings from anywhere.

5. Alexa Integration

The Tonton security camera system supports Amazon Alexa. Download the Amazon Alexa App and follow the instructions to link your "EseeCloud" account and discover devices. You can then use voice commands like "Alexa, show me the [device name]" to view camera feeds on compatible Alexa devices.

Operating Instructions

1. Viewing Modes

The 7-inch touchscreen monitor supports single, split, or quad view modes for displaying camera feeds. You can switch between these modes directly on the NVR or via the EseeCloud app.

2. Recording Modes

The system offers multiple recording options:

  • Continuous Recording: 24-hour recording.
  • Motion Detection Recording: Records only when motion is detected.
  • Scheduled Recording: Set specific times for recording.
  • Pre-record: Features a five-second pre-record period to capture complete events.
  • Overwrite: When the SD card is full, older footage will be automatically overwritten.

3. Motion Detection (PIR + AI Human Detection)

The cameras are equipped with PIR and motion sensors for smart detection, reducing false alarms from non-human movements. AI Human Detection further refines alerts. You can adjust detection sensitivity and specific detection areas.

4. Night Vision and Spotlight

  • Full Color Mode: Utilizes built-in spotlights for color video even at night.
  • Infrared Mode: Standard black and white night vision.

5. Two-Way Audio

The cameras feature built-in microphones and speakers, enabling two-way audio communication. You can speak through the NVR monitor or the EseeCloud app to interact with individuals near the camera.

6. Alerts and Notifications

Stay informed with instant alerts:

  • Audible Siren: The NVR system can trigger an audible siren upon detection. Cameras can also activate a siren.
  • Email Notifications: Receive email notifications for detected events.
  • Push Notifications: Get push notifications via the "EseeCloud" app on your mobile device.

Maintenance

1. SD Card Management

The NVR comes with a pre-installed 32GB SD card. It supports up to 128GB. Ensure the overwrite function is enabled if you wish for continuous recording without manual deletion. You can view playback videos on the NVR or through the app.

2. Cleaning

Regularly clean the camera lenses and housing to ensure clear image quality. Use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the weatherproofing.

Troubleshooting

  • No Camera Feed: Ensure cameras are powered on and within range of the NVR. Check for any obstructions. The system features auto-pairing.
  • False Alarms: Adjust PIR and motion detection sensitivity settings. Define specific detection areas to exclude irrelevant zones.
  • Remote Access Issues: Verify the NVR is correctly connected to your WiFi router via Ethernet. Ensure the "EseeCloud" app is updated and the device is properly added.
  • Night Vision Clarity: Check for obstructions near the camera lens that might reflect the IR light or spotlight. Ensure the chosen night vision mode (Infrared, Color, Smart) is appropriate for the environment.
